Are you really serious, nitpicking on Cooley's drop? Almost everyone drops ball from time to time, it is not like Cooley have notorious problem with drops.

Ok look at this scenario, if we cut Cooley. So our rooster for TE will be Davis, Paul, and Paulsen; if Davis got injured or busted for smoking weed, Davis is automatically out for a year. That leaves us Paul and Paulsen, and if the experiment with Paul doesn't work out well. That leaves us with Paulsen. Would you really be glad to have Paulsen instead of Cooley, I highly doubt it. The ideal scenario would be - Davis, Cooley and Paul. If Paul ends up playing well this year, then we could afford to let Cooley go next year.

i don't want cooley to be cut. i want him to take one for the team after missing 40% of the games over the past 3 seasons, that's all. healthy cooley and clean davis are dangerous

Actually he has developed a bit of an issue with drops.

I'm a little late and still confused. Laron Landry's mOtto- "Meat/Potatoes". What was that all about? I'm almost scared to know but does it have something to do with failed potential?

I'm sure Cooley will take a pay cut to remain with the Redskins. If he doesn't then surely another NFL team will sign him if he is released by the Redskins.

If he is released. My sense tells me he will stay in the NFC East and become a Giant, who have huge issues with the TE position right now.

I really don't know what positioning Niles Paul to TE will prove. Fred Davis is the number 1 TE now. In 2009 and 2011 Fred Davis has emerged as a reliable and dangerous threat in the Redskins passing game when Cooley went down. The offense is better having two proven TEs on the roster so it would be logical thinking for the Redskins to keep Cooley. Niles Paul, although young, is not proven. Paul is not on Cooley's level.
