Does anyone know if we have plans to grab Matt Leinart? He sorta makes sense as a bridge for RG3
I was thinking that, if the current Texans offense was anything like Kyle's.
It's better not to switch back and forth between lefties and righties though.
Not as a bridge though, a backup. There will be no bridge.

I know the cupboard is a bit bare, but I'd like to see us take a peek at some O-lineman here pretty soon.

It's not looking positive for Winston. He has 3 visits lined up and we're not one of them. (Miami, KC, STL)
Reported that 10 teams are interested.

People need to chill with the CBs, I am sure we will get one. But right now safety sould be a slightly higher priority. I don't want to go with Doughty and Gomes as our starting safeties.Biggest problem with the way the Redskins are approaching the defense right now is that they are to an extent, being accepting of mediocrity on that side of the ball.
And the problem if you shoot for mediocrity -- and ask anyone who has watched our offense the last two or three years -- is that you typically don't get anything resembling mediocrity.
We need to either reinforce our strength (the linebacker level) or fix our weaknesses (secondary, safeties, corner depth, D-Hall). I realize we're too cap restrained to do both, but just pick one or the other and at least try to make an incremental improvement over last year.

I'm thinking the draft strategy has already been adjusted accordingly. I expect to see more defense than I orginially thought.

I was thinking along the same lines. Houston just released him days ago so he's a free agent. The Redskins showed interest in Leinart last off season after the lockout ended but with Orton signing with Dallas, the Redskins may pursue Leinart again this year unless he ends up playing for his USC coach in Seattle.

Yup. Although I hope we make some moves, reluctantly I am mentally preparing to just accept that safety will be a weakness for us. Griffin will need to put up a lot of points to overcome deficits in our secondary.
With Jenkins coming back and everyone else another year into the scheme it is a good possibility that pressure on the QB will increase which could (could) hide any potential weaknesses in the secondary.
Time will tell, and there are a lot of moves left to be made.

I'm surprised. Tackle is a bigger need and he wants paid. He turned down a nice deal from Baltimore.
