Like the idea of letting Fletch test the market and see whats out there, but coming back to us with the details of the contract for us to match.

Source told @FOXSports.com that #Colts WR Pierre Garcon signed 5-yr, $42.5M contract with #Redskins. Roughly $21.5M guaranteed.

That's #1 wideout money. I hope this FO knows what they're doing.

Wow...I guess with a contract like that thats the skins way of saying F the salary cap...

Eric Winston confirms that he is visiting Miami tonight...BRUCE CALL HIM

The NFL will void the contracts. I'm getting the feeling though that the NFL is settling for not giving the 4 teams the cap credit instead of the $46 million in fines but thats just me.

That means it would only affect our cap by about 13 mil instead of the 36 mil. Correct?

Oh wow. That's not cheap, but hope that means they like what they see from him.

But yeah, that's not as cheap as most were expecting by signing him.

No, $1.6 million is the tax credit so in my theory the Redskins would only be docked $1.6 million.

I think they wanted to get him off the market early... No competition.

Garcon turned down $7mil. a year to resign with the Colts. If we were gonna pry him loose we had to offer more. It's not like we offered a lot more.

He turned down 5 yrs / 35 million from the Colts, right? So you had to figure he would get paid more than that.
