San Francisco 49ers reached agreement with former Giants running back Brandon Jacobs.

This is why most of the players that Vinny Cerratto signed through free agency didn't work out because of this very reason. While Cerratto did have some talent at scouting and selecting young players in the draft at times, his eye for free agent talent was extremely poor because he only saw how that particular player performed in his initial system and not how that player WOULD perform for us. This why Adam Archuletta, Brandon Lloyd, and so many others that he signed through free agency didn't turn out well.

I would say that Lloyd didn't work out because of his attitude, not scheme fit.

So the 49ers have Moss, Manningham, and Jacobs. Mmkay.

The Giants have lost two of three named above.
