SirClintonPortis 03-20-2012, 03:03 AM Ross will regret his decision to go to Jacksonville...barring a Tebow miracle, of course. GTripp0012 03-20-2012, 03:29 AM Ross will regret his decision to go to Jacksonville...barring a Tebow miracle, of course.Jacksonville's roster is better than you would think. A lot of people are going to write in the Texans as early favorites in the AFC South, and with good reason, but Houston's down a number of key veterans from last year that they aren't going to be able to replace in the draft as easily as they feel they can. Houston has no OL depth, no WR depth, and likely no TE/FB depth right now. They'll need 14-16 games out of Andre Johnson to be an effective passing offense. Who knows if they'll get it? A vote for Jacksonville in that division requires faith that they're going to do better with the quarterback situation than they did last year when it was worst in the NFL, but they are a team that can go blow for blow with the Texans. And I'd throw the Titans in that group as well. skinsfaninok 03-20-2012, 03:31 AM Jacksonville's roster is better than you would think. Tennessee will win the division next year with locker GTripp0012 03-20-2012, 03:36 AM Tennessee will win the division next year with lockerIt's certainly possible. I don't believe in Locker in any sort of 16 game setting, but it wouldn't shock me if he won a division coming in relief of Hasselbeck that gives his agent a selling point 4 years from now when he's a free agent. vallin21 03-20-2012, 03:58 AM Jacksonville was the only team to give Ross that kind money and he took it, and I won't blame him... I do agree that Jacksonville is a team on the rise despite it's timeless problem at QB... Will they win the AFC South this year? Most likely not, but maybe in the next 2-3 years... Problem is Jacksonville, FL besides it being in FL, is not a football town, so for football players (FA's) to come there, you pay a little more to get them there (Laurent Robinson, Aaron Ross). Tebow would be a tonic for that franchise. IMO Porter is clearly a better player, younger and probably a cheaper option. Lotus 03-20-2012, 09:11 AM That's not a very good contract.
