What happened to the previous reporting that it could be spread however? I don't remember Judge ever being a super-source on NFL stuff like this. He's in the second tier of guys behind Shifty, Mort, Clayton, Breer and co.

.. They did this so that the Redskins couldn't ignore it this season. It's unfortunate, but it's now a reality.

Clark's pretty solid. The CBS guys in general are douches though.
But that's neither here nor there. I'm hearing conflicting reports on this, so I'm trying to get some confirmation

Don't know if this has been shared yet, but I'm proud of Bruce Allen's retort:
The Redskins Blog | Statement On Adjusted Salary Cap Reports (http://blog.redskins.com/2012/03/12/statement-on-adjusted-salary-cap-reports/)
He's right. The league approved these (bad) deals. How can we be penalized for spending in an UPCAPPED year anyway when we are in compliance with the cap rules when it returned?
I heard a report on CSN Washington this morning stating "we did not necessarily violate any rules, just the spirit of the rule".
What the hell is that? Utter BS. This would be akin to a cop pulling you over and saying, "Sir, you were not speeding but your Corvette looks fast so I am going to write you a speeding ticket in the 'spirit of the law'."
Or, your wife sees you looking at another woman crossing the street and files for divorce citing adultery and takes half your crap on a false accusation.
I used to like Roger Goodell when he came into the league with the tough enforcer stance, but his ego and power trip are becoming harmful to the game. All of the stupid on-field rules, watering down the quality of the play in the name of "safety"...now this? He approved Vinny's stupid payouts...case closed. Spend on, Mr. Allen.

NFL Draft. (RG3 +)
Fletcher (To me this is a priority)
How much money do we have after this?
While Fletch is a priority, he's not going to get that 8-9mil/year figure he's looking for. (especially now)

I just check the NFL.com website, if it is official, it should be there right??? Nutin! Not one mention that they are removing our the cap money or re-distributing to others. You would think that there would be some notice to Allen or Snyder. This doesn't smell right......

Just listened to mike and mike's explanation on the salary cap penalty. It absolutely made no sense to me. They basically said the league approved the deals because the new CBA wasn't done yet, so thats why the league had to wait until now to penalize. So basically the cowboys and redskins broke the unwritten rule back in 2010 and now in 2012 with new CBA they are getting penalized.
The league still approved the contracts and IMO they didn't want to disapprove them then because it would have looked bad in CBA talks and the NFLPA would have made it an issue.

Hello NFL you can't have it both ways. You either "WERE COLLUDING" or you were not. You can't say no we don't want to raise any red flags now because the new CBA won't go through and we will be looked at as colluding so we'll ignore it. then months later decide to act on the deals for which you signed off on at the time so you wouldn't get into trouble and now cry foul.
the NFLPA should be all over this. The big question... did you collude or not. If not then the Skins and Boys are off the hook. If they are not then you definitly colluded and the NFLPA should file suit.
