Lerner isn't like that. He lets his football people do all of the work, he doesnt meddle. Plus if they make the trade up with the Rams, how would they still have a first to draft a RB? All of the reports have been saying that the price starts with two firsts and from Cleveland both picks from this year.

Well I suppose, technically, Cleveland could keep that pick and offer a couple of extra future picks in place of that one, but all in all, I'm really doubting the Browns do make that trade up.

My only thing with all this is, if the Redskins don't get Manning (which is probably the likely scenario at this point) and get beat out by the Browns in moving up to #2, then drafting Ryan Tannehill looks more like a consolation prize. I feel OK drafting RT if the 'skins were landing Manning, just because I believe Tannehill is gonna need a year or two before he's truly ready. I'm not sure if I could stomach Orton or another Grossman year.

Hopefully the Browns will value Richardson a bit more than they value RG3 (I know that sounds a bit crazy).

I agree if it was posted two post ago on the same page it is annoying.

I think we are all a little edge on here right now. This is probably the biggest off season in the Warpath's history.

And as Redskins fans we are bracing for the worst which would be no PM or RGIII and another year of Rex/Beck.

Dear lord help us if that is the case. I think a little part of me will die inside if we go into another season with an average retread qb at the helm, like Kyle Orton or somebody.

I have felt all along that it's entirely likely that REX is the starting QB week 1, with a drafted QB(not RGIII) sitting behind him for half the season. The percentage is as strong for that to occur as getting Peyton or RGIII and having them start.

You know, I just dont see how Mike Shanahan could do this and be looked at as performing his duties as HC. You know that your QB situation is TERRIBLE, you MUST address it this year. There is no excuse for him if Rex is the QB day one, and I think he is way too smart to play russian roulette like that. We will have a new QB come April.

I think they would consider that addressing the situation. I dont like it, but i've been disappointed by these guys fairly consistently with their QB decisions.

Not totally crazy. Richardson is a very safe pick (what you want high in the draft), the best player at his position (what you want high in the draft), and fills a need. In terms of BPA, I could see them valuing Richardson more than Griffin.

Why the Browns don't stick with McCoy is kind of odd to me. He has a lot of upside and they could fill a lot of holes by either staying put at 4 or trading down.

From an outsiders stand point yes he does have a ton of upside. I will say he was not my choice last year when us fans were talking QB talk. Mine was Dalton. Perhaps the Browns have realized something we don't see, or it's going to take longer for him to develope then they thought? IDK. I get the feeling Holmgren is still in the mind set of win now and McCoy didn't give him that. I feel the same way with the Vikes. Although I think the Vikes are a little more happy with Ponder then the browns are with McCoy. But I could see both teams taking RGIII for their future. RGIII is definitely better then either teams current QB's. ... and for giggles I'd say the same for the Bucks.

When some of us talk of other QB's in this yrs draft the RGIII fans ask "how can you pass up on such a talent, a future franchise QB?" but when other teams are mentioned they come up with every excuse as to why those other teams won't want him. If he is such a catch, such a great player, could solidify a teams QB position for years then why wouldn't the Browns, Vikes and even the Bucks want him? Their QB's have not stepped up to be exceptional yet and who knows if they ever will.

I have no problem with Rex briefly starting if we know there's a young QB a la RG3 or Tannehill waiting in the wings...not Beck

You know what is nice about SBXVII? He is the only one that uses that avatar so as soon as you see it you can quickly move on to the next post.
