Yup.

I think we was trying to use PM as a bargaining chip with the Rams, I just hope it doesn't backfire.

The correlation is doctors are not always correct. And lots of them get sued for malpractice everyday. Having surgery must happen at times in life. But surgery slows people down. People need to have adequate time to heal from surgery. This is why Peyton Manning is not 100% and he won't be even by the start of next season. Now that he's had the surgery, he's more prone to having a career ending injury. Sure he can play. Sure he can compete. But what's going to happen when nasty James Harrison collides his helmet to Manning's like some crazy charging rhino? Manning is going to suffer for the hit. And seeing that he's not one hundred percent healthy, he could be paralyzed. And you're correct. Peyton Manning has never been prone to injury. But he is now. 60% of Manning is worse than any quarterback in the NFL. At 60%, he should be holding a clipboard on the sidelines. I'm just happy that he doesn't want to come to Washington. We didn't need him anyway.

Sorry, but I'm going to take the word of a trained physician over yours. The proof will be in this upcoming season.

Around $20 mil a year??? Well, at least know the 'skins can focus on trading up for RGIII.

Not from what I hear. Our offer has no guarantees, Miami's apparently does.
THAT may serve to bite The Fins FO in the Ass, shrewd Football minds that they are.......
I have nothing but respect for our guys for structuring what appears to be a cautious deal in a situation that would merit some, for the good of the organization.

Found this that says, Miami, Skins and Broncs are the three and confirms what SS said about guaranteed money.

Has Manning already narrowed his choices? - CBSSports.com (http://mike-freeman.blogs.cbssports.com/mcc/blogs/entry/6264363/35140974)

One team official that contacted Manning's agent, Tom Condon, says he got the definite impression that Manning indeed has already decided where he wants to go, or, at least, the handful of teams truly in the mix. The official, who did not want to be identified, believes that Miami, Washington and Denver are the front-runners. One report states Manning has already informed the Redskins he doesn't want to play for them.

But the official conceded the front-runner will be the team that, in the end, offers the most guaranteed money.

The official believes that contrary to some reports, Manning is indeed open to playing in the NFC, even in the NFC East where his brother Eli, is obviously king of the division.

Funny because I definitely expected Peyton to command $20+ million a year (obviously assuming he's health) and believe he'd be worth every penny of it. That's only half our remaining pool of salary cap room anyway.

Fascinating how short the typical memory is IMO. Peyton almost single-handedly made the Colts a perennial SB contender. Sure there were a few yrs where the defense was respectable while Sanders, Mathis and Freeney all stayed healthy. And sure he had adequate targets to catch the ball. But we all saw what happened when you removed Manning from the equation.

...I say big-time kudos to the team that signs him.

I think if we get RG3 alot folks will be happy; we have been down the old vet road time for a new approach.

If you are Miami you just bought a big bag of worry; in regards to PM health

My problem is that I don't want 2 years of above average play and maybe see a playoff game or two. I feel that's all we'd get with PM, I mean he only got 1 ring in Indy and they had 10 years to build around him, why the hell would it be possible for him I come here and win a SB? Let's get a rookie and build a great team and dominate for years, not just for 2 and then say o shit we need a qb again, I know it's Pm, but be honest we were all stoked abou Mcnabb, George, Brunell, and they aren't manning but still I don't see him doing much better
