Interesting take by Tony Dungy stating Peyton could go anywhere but he would NOT come to a team in the NFC East to compete against his brother for a playoff spot in that division.

Anybody buying this? Dungy knows Peyton pretty well.

So much for the Redskins not being an option to Manning....

Are the Redskins on Manning's short list? - Rich Tandler's Real Redskins (http://www.realredskins.com/rich-tandlers-real-redsk/2012/03/are-the-redskins-on-mannings-short-list.html)

Man, Elway sure wants to find a way to get rid of Tebow. Or at least not have him be the only option at QB. I hope we don't hear of Elway being struck by lighting for wanting to bench Mile High Jesus.

I think some people have really underestimated the mutual respect between Manning and Shanahan. I think these guys would love the chance to work together.

And the thing about not wanting to play against Eli twice a year is so overblown. I think they would both embrace the challenge head on. Maybe it wouldn't be an ideal situation, but I don't think it's a deal breaker.

Consider the rivalry that may be in the family.
If Peyton gets another SB ring while being an NFC East resident.....thats one more that Eli doesnt get.

I think he'll be ready to throw, I mean he's been throwing already

You may think so but he still needs to prove it.

The concern is not just if he will he be ready throw but when will he be ready to throw. The timing could be a problem for some or all of the teams that are interested in him.

Let's say he's now at 80%. When will he be at 100%? This week? Before the draft? Before preseason? Ever?

The risk of signing PM is too great until he can clear this hurdle. The longer it takes, the more teams that will decide to go in another direction.

If I were going to handicap this race, I'd move up the teams who are in a position to wait longer than most of the others.

I don't think the risk is that great, not enough to prevent someone from signing him in the next 2 weeks.

He's already been throwing, he's obviously not 100% yet but from all indications once the nerve regenerates it's all downhill from there. Right now he's probably just working on regaining strength and re-establishing the muscle memory of throwing.

I buy that 100%. He is not coming here no matter what we offer him. Why would he come to the team that needs the most work and then have to go against his brother 2 or 3 times a year. I think they enjoy the times they do play against each other but not in this case.

Can you give a quick summary?

I can't play the video at work. :(
