Seems more like a courtesy then anything else. If Manning really wanted to use Miami he would sell it like a play action fake and actually visit the team instead of having them come to him in Indy. Although I am sure that having a team come with the idea that they will do "whatever it takes" to get Manning will help in the negotiations. I am sure Manning can name his price, but he probably would just say, well Miami is offering this... Still the more I think about it, the more that I feel Miami is not the place that is perfect for Manning. I am sure the league would love to see Manning vs. Brady twice a year. But I am thinking that Manning may look for the most convenient route to the playoffs, and that may be either Denver or Zona.
