Since I am a Georgia fan we faced SC this year like every year. He had a couple of great catches. Flew off the line so he has tremendous speed. I only saw him once this year so I do not have much to base him off of.

So you think we should take a CENTER with our #1 pick???? I don't know about that. As far as the Redskins and their talents are concerned, the area that could best be addressed by a first round pick would be WR or DE.

I'm with Kiper too. If there's a way to get 'two for one' by trading down we may have to go that route. Trading Gardner should help our situation too. Hearing what's being said of Williamson he may be the perfect fit. And if Williams stock continues to fall you can't pass him up especially if the top three WRs (Edwards/Clayton/Williamson) are off the board But without solidifying the O-line, what good will it do to bring in any of these guys? :oink:

Not only are people saying it here, I've heard it on more than one board/website that Williams IS Keyshawn reborn and that Edwards might be a risky pick and could go either way (playmaker or bust).

I just don't see any team using a #9 pick on a center. Even thought that's the most glaring need.

No one's saying that we draft a C in the first round. Kiper is painting a scenario in which the 'Skins will trade down from #9 overall for possibly a late first rounder and a 2nd or 3rd rounder. And quite possibly that would allow us to draft one of the four WRs mentioned above in the first round and Baas in the second. :oink:

That would be an excellent scenario. Thanks for clearing that up. My eyeballs get burnt out sometimes looking at computer screens all day.

You can say that about all of these wanna-be rookies. We should keep in mind that being a first round pick doesn't guarantee success in the NFL. I wouldn't rule out making a bid for Houshmanzadeh either (couldn't wait for his jerseys to hit the stores?!). Then we would have one less need to worry about to be filled through the draft. As of right now now those needs are WR/DE/C/CB in no particular order. :oink:

Very true. The more opinions/evidence that piles up from so-called "knowledgable" sources is what makes me nervous about the aforementioned two receivers. T.J. might be a good fit. Part of me feels that once we get the line problems taken care of with the help of Bugel and an upgrade at center, Ramsey has the talent to make nearly any receiver look pretty damn good. At least we can all hope.

William's has much better hand's than Keyshawn and is bigger and stronger, plus he's a charector guy, I look for him to be much better than Keyshawn, as for Edward's anytime I hear a player has a problem hanging on to the ball in college it scares me although this kid's credential's far exceed's Gardner's coming out.

I haven't seen any film on either Edward's or T.Williamson to really evaluate the 2 hopefully they will start showing more highlight's of potential 1st rd draftees after the super bowl.

Yeah, I understand. I just wonder what team is going to give up a second rounder in order to move up to #9. Usually, the top 4-6 picks offer the most value for a trade down. It all depends on what player is still available at the ninth spot, and if there's a team out there who really covets that player. If by moving down we can still pick up one of the top 4 wideouts, (among Clayton, Edwards, Williams and Williamson) while picking up a second rounder, I'd certainly take them up on that offer.

If nothing else, we could use that second 1st round pick on a receiver who will challenge Thrash, Jacobs, and McCants.

I don't think anyone has two first round picks other than Dallas. And they aren't giving anything up to us.
