Great points. As far as GW's hiring by the Rams, I wouldn't be surprised if his buddy Jeff Fisher knew about his bounty program. Whether or not he was going to allow it in his locker room is a different story. But yeah, it's strange that the NFL wouldn't have informed the Rams about the investigation and the potential severity of the situation.

As far as the HOF game, do the Saints have some important former players up for selection or something? It's a shame because instead of celebration the history of the game, that entire week is going to be bounty-gate ad nausem.

Petty? We're not talking about a couple of bucks in a measly office pool, we're talking thousands of dollars flying around. Vilma reportedly tossed $10k on a table for someone to take out Favre in the '09 playoff game. Don't you think the IRS wants a piece of that?

Add up all the money from all those pools and that 10k is like comparing a penny to Bill Gates fortune.

I'm not disagreeing the IRS doesn't want a slice, because they want to rob you blind whenever they can. I just said this point was petty to argue the case (even if it is true).

That's what I'm saying. This place has some hypocrites.

I would certainly classify someone as being hypocritical if they root for injury while watching a game and then turn around have a big issue with this bounty thing.

I don't think there are too many regular posters around here who sincerely cheer for the Redskins opponents to get injured.

My point on the IRS was really just a side point to the bigger issue, but regardless, anytime the IRS looks in your direction, I wouldn't call the issue petty.
