It's about doing smart business which is something we have long neglected. Cooley is going to have to restructure to stay, which I'm quite positive he will. He knows that Fred Davis is the #1 now, so he'll be a great guy coming off the bench or in the 2 TE set.

You know maybe not, but if that were the case why have'nt they llet him go yet. Maybe they are negotiating to keep him and all this talk along with the video are being put out there to get them to increase their offer. One of the guys I respect the most thinks the Colts want to keep him, Gil Brandt.

Like everything else, these things always go down to the last minute.

This way the Colts can say, we did our due diligence, we weighed all the options and in the end we had to do what we felt was best for the organization.

I would rather they find a replacement for the guys in front of him. Although, the coaches seem to have faith in him for some reason, he seems to be going into the Rabach zone (a player that was kept from year to year despite their poor abilities).
