I would like to see us sign LF but not if he demands too much money. It seems like older players just hit a wall and at his age no telling where that wall is.
London Prepared to Leave (If No Deal)firstdown 03-05-2012, 05:40 PM I would like to see us sign LF but not if he demands too much money. Swarley 03-05-2012, 08:12 PM London on NFL Total Access right now, currently talking bounties and Gregg Williams. Mechanix544 03-05-2012, 08:17 PM We cannot lose this guy. he needs to stay a Redskin for the remainder of his career, and then as a LB coach. Monkeydad 03-07-2012, 03:21 PM "It’ll take some time to get done but we both want to get a deal done." - London Fletcher a week ago. Hope he's right, we CAN NOT LOSE HIM. SFREDSKIN 04-13-2012, 04:57 PM Redskins close to re-signing London Fletcher By Mark Maske The Washington Redskins are close to re-signing free agent linebacker London Fletcher, a person with knowledge of the negotiations said Friday. A deal between Fletcher and the Redskins was within reach and could be completed as soon as later Friday, the person said, speaking on the condition of anonymity because the talks are confidential. Neither Fletcher nor his representatives immediately responded to requests for comment. Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan said at the annual league meeting late last month in Palm Beach, Fla., that the team remained intent upon re-signing Fletcher and conversations were ongoing. The league-owned NFL Network reported earlier Friday there were hopes the deal could be completed this weekend, before the Redskins begin their offseason conditioning program Monday. The Goat 04-13-2012, 05:03 PM Fantastic!!! The Goat 04-13-2012, 05:03 PM ...and I hope London is happy w/ the contract too. Daseal 04-13-2012, 05:11 PM ...and I hope London is happy w/ the contract too. I hope the Redskins don't tie too much money up in someone that old. I love Fletcher and what he brings to the field, but I don't see him being able to contribute much longer. I'd give him good money this year, a little money next year, and practically all incentives past that. skinsguy 04-13-2012, 05:12 PM considering that no other team seemed interested in signing Fletcher to a huge multi-year deal at this point, I think London should be happy with whatever he gets. freddyg12 04-13-2012, 05:19 PM he still deserves to be paid well, not top $, but above avg. starter $. Want to see a report that he's signed though, then I'll be happy. |
