I swear, people say we have no talent on this team like we are out there with pop warner players every single week.
I am annoyed by that too.

Lotus 02-28-2012, 03:25 PM I swear, people say we have no talent on this team like we are out there with pop warner players every single week. I am annoyed by that too. Dirtbag59 02-28-2012, 03:26 PM I am annoyed by that too. I love it. What fun would this forum be if we all just agreed that the team needed to give up whatever possible for RG3? Lotus 02-28-2012, 03:27 PM There are WR's to be had in FA and just as teams have had success with lesser QB's teams have also had success with lesser receivers. Better lesser receivers than a lesser QB. GTripp0012 02-28-2012, 03:28 PM How would each FA QB signing not impact the price of the number 2 pick? If Flynn goes to Cleveland, and Peyton goes to Miami, how could the Rams still demand what they are demanding? The big thing with the Rams is that they need the Redskins to be involved to get value on the second pick. I see people talking as if Shanahan is going to try to leverage his relationship with Jeff Fisher to make a deal. But it's a two way street. As long as the Rams and Redskins have reports of a handshake deal for the second pick, teams know that the Browns and Vikings picks just aren't as valuable. If the Redskins were to walk away from the table entirely, Griffin wouldn't be a lock to go second overall, and the Dolphins could start negotiating with the Vikings and Browns for a better price. But as long as the Redskins are involved and the Rams know that they can get at least the Redskins 2013 pick for the second pick, now the Vikings and Browns aren't sellers for RG3. So this business relationship isn't just going to benefit the Rams. But the person who is unquestionably a winner of this 'handshake deal' is RG3. skinsfaninok 02-28-2012, 03:34 PM Since 1967 only one QB taking number 2 overall as a winning record.. That would be Mr. Donovan Mcnabb EARTHQUAKE2689 02-28-2012, 03:34 PM I love it. What fun would this forum be if we all just agreed that the team needed to give up whatever possible for RG3? If everyone just agreed with me, the forum and the world for that matter would be a much better place. But signing Eddie Royal and VJax for example and Ben Grubbs now our WR position is a strength vs. a weakness, add that to a returning Cooley and Davis and our skill positions look like: RB Helu/Royster/Hightower WR VJax/Hankerson/Gaffney/Royal/Moss TE Davis/Cooley I would take that but a WR steal in the draft: Reuben Randle from LSU in the 3rd round. Lotus 02-28-2012, 03:35 PM I love it. What fun would this forum be if we all just agreed that the team needed to give up whatever possible for RG3? No. Everyone must agree with me. Only then is it fun. GTripp0012 02-28-2012, 03:37 PM Since 1967 only one QB taking number 2 overall as a winning record.. That would be Mr. Donovan McnabbIf Griffin had McNabb's career for the Redskins: 1) he would never be unconditionally loved by Washington fans, despite being the best quarterback picked by the team since 1950. 2) Luck would probably have a much better career With the hype meter where it is on Griffin, he actually has to have a much better career than McNabb did to meet those expectations. SBXVII 02-28-2012, 04:22 PM Ok so you know how everyone starts off with "my inside source".... well I'm starting off with "my outside source" not sure where they heard if from possibly the radio but .... The Skins have a package deal they will offer the Rams. If the Rams do not except it then thats it. Apparently MS is sticking by the we are not going over board to get RGIII, but they are interested. They supposedly do not want to hinder what this team can do in the draft. Again... out side source. If the Rams don't take the offer then the back up plan is to try heavily to sign PM and draft Tannehill or Weeden. Again my outside source could be a moron. But the way he presented it sounded like it was somewhat legit. Perhaps it was on the radio and I missed it or somewhere. Another part of it is they are going to let Lickenstieger (sp) go because they are going to get the Saints OL who is a FA. I think he is a Left Guard. They are also interested in picking up the ??? RT from Baltimore? if I'm correct. He is supposed to be a FA. Then of course they will be looking at WR also. Again I'm not saying it's 100% true, just putting it out there in case others heard the same thing to verify it. In the end I'd be happy with this way of thinking. Swarley 02-28-2012, 04:28 PM Ben Grubbs is the Ravens o-linemen, he's also a guard like Carl Nicks. |
