We haven't said anything about Chad Morton, but you would have to say it's that he is going to be trade bait and won't play again for the Redskins.
Found this on another site:
Antonio Brown was clocked at 4.18 seconds in the 40 yard dash when he played for Gregg Williams at Buffalo last year. You can read it at this ESPN archive:

His opponent in the 40 yard dash, Devin Hester of the Univ. of Miami, was allegedly clocked at 4.29 in the 40, a slowpoke compared to Brown.

Miami,FL-
Redskins WR #86 Antonio Brown, edged out UMiami Kickoff specialist Devin Hester in a 40 yard race. $2000 and bragging rights where on the line, as a crowd of 1000 people gathered around just before the two played each other in a flag football game. Antonio edged out Hester by a 1/4 step but as he was crossing the finish line and looked back and snarled at Hester mocking him.

Does anyone know the specific details of Morton's contract? I know it was a five-year deal with the last two potentially voidabe if he reached minimum participation marks. Since he was injured for a good portion of the season, I think there is a solid chance that he did not reach the required number of snaps and the final two years of the deal will be triggered. If the final two years are voided, however, then I think he's good as gone. With the last two years being voided, he will occupy a nice little sum of cap space in 2005, and I don't think we are going to spend that on a backup kick returner (assuming we keep Brown.)
he definately looked fast on punt returns. but speed(which i love)isnt every thing, remember albert connell...
but you definately got to give the guy a look at WR and ST.
we should use him for those crappy WR screen passes.

Coles was clocked at 4.16 coming out of Florida state. Was the 40 hand timed or electronic? 40 times are VERY subjective to what they're running on, and who's doing the clocking.

I don't remember which agent did this back in the 80s, but one of them had access to a track that was ever so slightly "downhill" but unless you put a level on the track you w0ouldn't notice it. So he had his prospects timed on that track and they did very well.
"40 times" need to be recorded under standard conditions if you want to compare them.

I suspect that the Skins' coaches already know that Brown is very fast. So the question now is why he wasn't in the games as a WR since he is so fast.
Possibilities:
1. He can't catch a cold?
2. He can't learn the patterns?
3. He can't/won't block?
4. It wouldn't matter because the OL won't allow the Skins to throw deep very often?
5. The coaching staff is as dumb as a box of wrenches?
My guess is #4 with a little of #1 thrown in...

Remember the coaches liked having just a return guy. When they were using Thrash they kept him out of the game at WR for most of the game. Plus Brown wasn't on the team the whole year was he?? Probably didn't know crap about the offense. Hell the guys who had been there the whole year didn't look like they knew the offense half the time. The last thing the coaches needed was another dolt out on the field.
I won't be surprised to see Morton gone this offseason.

Jeezus, that is blisteringly fast.
