]Mike Mayock said yesterday that if he's the Rams, he'd be ecstatic if the Browns gave up the 27th pick to move up two spots for RG3. Think about what the Rams are asking for. A one, a two, and a three to move down four spots.[/B] Yet, if their best offer was two firsts? They'd do that in a heartbeat.
My thing is this: if you are the Browns, why would you give up a first round pick to go up two spots even if you love RG3. No team can really make a better offer than the Browns first and second rounders, because the Browns have the draft position that the Rams want the most.
I think the Browns are just going to let the board come to them. And the Rams aren't going to be able to get any additional value on the second overall pick. They are going to be stuck with it.
At the end of the day, I think the 2013 first rounder is plenty enough to go as high in the draft as you need to go. I don't think you can get Luck or even get close to Luck at that price. But that gives you your pick of RG3/Blackmon/Kalil. Which is what the Redskins need the most.
Too expensive IMO.

Matt Flynn is going to be the guy wherever he goes. We're talking about signing a guy to something in the area of 6 years $59 million with around $24 million guaranteed (Ryan Fitzpatricks contract).
Green Bay Packers backup quarterback Matt Flynn could go from making $600,000 a year to $9 million annually - Jeff Diamond - SI.com (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2012/writers/jeff_diamond/02/15/flynn/index.html#ixzz1mZUxbAg2)
Thats CRAZY, the man has played good in like 2 games, what he has done is not worth that money! i really hope we stay away from him and I hope the Browns sign him.

Todd McShay thinks RG3 will either be a Redskin or a Cleveland Brown. Says he'd be surprised if he fell below the number 2 spot.

Thats the business side of the NFL. There are plenty of GM's and scouts out there saying exactly what you're saying in regards to how his minimal experience is turning into a huge payday. However there are also plenty of GM's and scouts that see Flynn as the chance to get in on the ground floor of something special.
Either way the market will provide Flynn with a huge pay day and at least one year of job security.

True story. Its just like how people are saying RG3 is too much of a risk, everyone is a risk, nobody knows what is going to happen for sure with any players future (manning, rg3, flynn, etc.) this includes every position. That being said Im aboard the RG3 train.

Are we in a position to draft a guy and let him sit? I don't think we are.
Probably yes and probably no, depending on how the FA situation shakes out. If we get RG3, he'll be a day 1 starter. But I don't know about anyone after him, unless the coaching staff knows they've found the next Andy Dalton.

Exactly. RGIII and Luck are both day 1 guys. Guys like Tannehill could start midseason or possibly win the job in camp but it would be an uphill battle. And I have a hard time believing they'll fare much better then Ponder.

Also I just want to add, does anyone think the Giants regret giving up two first and a third for Eli Manning? I mean for Gods sake the Chargers got 3 Pro Bowlers in that trade yet the Giants now have 2 Super Bowls.
