Matty's already warned everyone once here. Leave the bickering out of this thread

And Dean...what the hell? Not racial discrimination, but you don't expect a black QB to lead an NFL team???

Wow. You're not even trying anymore.

Not much point in continuing this. Have a good one.

I was enjoying the discussion, not sure what you thought I was "trying" to do. You seem to have picked up on some animosity from me, which is not there. I didn't come to this thread to try to win an argument. I don't agree with your arguments at all but I'm glad you're here, the discussion has been stimulating and worthwhile.

Dean and CultBrennan, who have similar sad racial views on QB's, appear to be time travelers from the 17th century.

i would prefer PM if we have chance to get him , not racial discrimination , i really do not expect a black QB to lead a nfl team go further , or i can not wait for more 2 or 3 years if draft RG3 , and even do not know if it's a right choice . If PM to our team , i would very happy to collect his Redskins jersey .

You need to explain yourself. There needs to be a good reason why you believe a black QB won't "lead a team go further". And the reason better not be racist or peace out.

Doug Williams anyone? I know it's been a long time since that magical game but come on.
Maybe he should have mentioned the probability of a black QB going all the way. 32 teams/3 (maybe 4 depending on where JC goes) starting black QBs in the league. I would take all of them on my team except for Vick. Yes, even JC.

Seriously. That ignorant comment on a message board for the only team to win a Super Bowl with a black QB. Ridiculous.

Is "WarpathDC" on Twitter anyone from here by chance?

No idea.

LOVE RGIII, however, if Manning is healthy (I know-impossible to tell) and available it would be irresponsible for us not to strongly pursue him. The nerve regeneration is something that can literally happen overnight. Marcellus Wiley was talking about this the other day, he had a similar nerve issue in his leg and had no explosiveness for 8 weeks into the season he said. He had 1.5 sacks and then literally from one day to the next, his nerve 'fired' and he was back to 100% immediately and racked up an additional 10 sacks the rest of the season.

Now of course, that's grapes and grapefruits but the point is short and long term, Manning is the play. For the short term he is obviously the best bet to improve our chances to win. Long term since we'd have to likely give up multiple high picks to get Griffin that will impede our rebuilding process so to acquire Manning and keep our now and future picks, draft a QB in the 2nd round (or even trade back into the 1st to get Tannehill at a lesser cost than going up for RGIII) would be better for the long term build of the roster.

Griffin without doubt. Do whatever it takes. Young, athletic, throws a pretty long ball and best of all will bring excitement and invigorate the fanbase

Winning and winning alone is what will invigorate the fanbase.
