Why would we cut Cooley?

huh? Did someone hear that or something?

I could see him traded before he was cut.

I can actually see him restructure his contract...although I get the feeling he already did that. Anyone know this?

Cowboys sound ready to spend | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/02/16/cowboys-sound-ready-to-spend/)

It doesn't sound like they have the money to spend with now. So cut some guys and spend there money on other FAs. smart

Looks like it might be a very interesting Free Agent Market.

NFL.com news: Ward, Newman and Cooley highlight "Cap Casualty Season" (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82704bb5/article/ward-newman-and-cooley-highlight-cap-casualty-season?module=HP11_content_stream)

I don't know why they would cut Cooley with $47 million in cap space at a time where 2 Tight End sets are becoming all the rage.

OoOoohHh.... Dallas has 12 million in cap space. Big freaking deal. We have 49.5 million in cap space. I hate the media. They are such Dallas homers.

Nothing to do with the salary cap. It's cost versus value. He's either going to restructure his contract or get cut. With his injuries the past couple years, definitely won't be on the squad carrying that figure.

I figure he will restructure considering his recent injury issues.
