Maybe this answers some questions about why the Skins didn't take Orton the first time during the season....
Washington Reportedly Focused on QB Kyle Orton » NFL Gridiron Gab (http://www.nflgridirongab.com/2012/02/09/washington-reportedly-focused-on-qb-kyle-orton/)
First Peyton Manning – now Kyle Orton.
Seems like the Redskins are going to do whatever it takes to get a QB, and now reports say the team has serious interest in Orton, who wrapped up the 2012 season with the KC Chiefs after getting released by the Denver Broncos midseason.
According to John Keim of the Washington Examiner, the Redskins were interested in Orton when he was on waivers, but did not claim him. CSNWashington reported it was because of potential locker-room friction with current Redskins and former Bears QB Rex Grossman.
One league source said it was much salary related (Orton would have been owed $3 million for one month’s work). By signing Orton, clearly a cheaper alternative than Manning, it would enable the Redskins to focus elsewhere in the draft – and still have a good chunk of change to spend in free agency.
They likely would still draft a quarterback. If they view Orton as a one or two year guy, then maybe it could work – especially if they upgraded the receiving corps to pair with a less error-prone QB.

Am I the only one who's not the least bit interested in rg3? If he were there at 6, sure. But he's not worth trading up for.
Ditto. I'm banking that the Skins fail to make a trade up and RGIII is not there at #6 so the team can trade back for more picks like last yr.
Hail to the Redskins

I honestly think he will get it together here once we get the pieces IE a QB who
is worth a damn. We have seen glimpses of it here at times. He also had alot of
talent to work with in Houston. Once we get that here it will all come together.
I'll say this... I think that there was a pretty good reason why Grossman wasn't starting for Houston when they both were there... right?
I agree.. let's judge the Shanny's when we have an actual NFL Starter-Caliber QB in place.

I was listening to Bill Pollian today and he said that RG3 is an incredible talent, that fits Shannahan perfectly. He also said that he is as good a prospect as Luck. His comments were that he can throw the ball 60 yards with the flick of a wrist and is incredibly accurate and that he looks like a ripped strong safety. It really got me excited. He also said there is no way he gets past the second pick. Who knows, if he thinks that way maybe the Colts will pick him and trade Luck to us. Either one, would make me happy.

RG3 could possibly fall to 6 but i feel like after the combine which i think he will shine in he wont slip that far

I cant believe they want him now and did not pick him up off the waiver wire when he was released.

We have to remember as much as us wanting to trade up these teams "Indy, St. Lou, & Minn" IMO want to trade down, everyone wants more picks especially High picks.
Uness of course they are interested in RGIII also, then the trade up is moot.
and honestly Indy will not want to trade down. They will not keep Manning for two reasons
1- they don't know if he'll get healthy.
2- they won't want to give up the 28mill if he's not healthy.
So for that alone Indy will want to keep their draft pick and select a franchise QB.
Beyond that all bets are off. With any of the rest I see more upside with RGIII then what they already have and they would be crazy to pass up on him considering none of their QB's have shown they are franchise material as of yet.

I'm going to sound like an idiot (which maybe I've already presented myself as one) but how can the Colts pick RGIII with the #1 pick and still trade Luck to us (the Skins)?
