So let me get this straight.

Concerning PM. Mike doesn't want, but Kyle does.

Concerning RGIII. Mike wants, but Kyle doesn't.

Can these two guys ever get on the same page in regards to a QB?

I wouldn't quite put it that way. Let's put it this way. Kyle only has to really think about Manning in terms of can he be my QB for my offense. Whereas Mike has to look at the big picture, both as head coach and team president. So naturally, MS is a bit more methodical in his analysis.

Now that eli won 2 sb, peyton would like to play again and aim to win one. redskins can provide him an opportunity to do that with our solid defense, we just need to shore up our OL. our WR is fine with Manning as QB

Interesting how Kyle wants him and Mike doesn't. I thought I heard the opposite somewhere else.

I'd be down for Peyton if he were 100% healthy, younger, and wasn't in this bootleg offense.

SS, if, If, we get PM, what WR's would we go after?

I just wonder if this happens if Reggie Wayne would not be on our radar. OR if PM would request we take a look at him.

Not saying this is what I think we should do if we get PM it would just be interesting to see if this shook out.

Reggie Wayne, Eddie Royal, Hankerson, and Moss. interesting WR core there.

When Peyton Manning's oldest brother Cooper was diagnosed with a congenital spinal condition that ended his football career in 1992, the boys' father, former NFL quarterback Archie Manning, had both Peyton and Eli Manning tested.

Neither of the quarterbacks had the condition -- spinal stenosis, a narrowing of the spinal canal that is especially dangerous for football players.

I will acknowledge and henceforth agree to the wisdom of Mattyk in this situation. I only pause to reaffirm the fact that this was the information stated on NFL radio. I can not help if the information they relayed was incorrect. I mean look at how many of your take info from the bleacher report or J LaCa as gospel. ;) You may now continue with your regularly scheduled stoning...

I say we change Matty's name (or avatar) to:

...because he's taking kids to school. :cool-smil

I prefer you nickname him daddy because he PACKED MY LUNCH and took me to school.

With our O line don't we need a QB that can scramble a little better.LOL

I'm starting to think all of this Manning talk is a huge smoke screen to give the Skins more leverage in obtaining RGIII.

I still would be surprised if he does sign here, but I'm 100% behind making a run at him

I'd be surprised if he signed here, too. Why would he want to? There are a few reasons I don't think he would.

First, he's been playing at least half of his games every season in a dome on a much faster track than Fed Ex Field. Just ask Drew Brees how much easier that makes life as a QB in today's NFL. He'd have to play in a colder environment here, where's he constantly outdoors, on grass (not field turf) nonetheless, and the elements play a much bigger factor. Definitely something to consider, especially if he comes back with some diminished arm strength.

Secondly, he's in Eli's division. Last night's game hurt Peyton's chances of ever wearing the B&G. Would he want to go to a division where his baby brother is the top dog? With the young nucleus of talent on the Giants including a very dynamic receiving corps and studly pass-rush, they'll be a force for the next several years. Eli is fully in his prime now. He'll be a top 5 QB for the next half a decade I suspect. Peyton will be retired in half a decade. If Peyton cares about his own legacy, which I'm sure he does, he'll stay away from the NFC East.

Thirdly, Peyton wants to go somewhere where he can win quickly. No reason to think that's here. Given our overall lack of talent and the caliber of talent on the rosters of our division rivals, I don't see how Manning would be convinced he'd have a chance at glory in DC before his window as a player is closed (if it isn't already).

In summary, I'd be stunned if he wanted to play in DC.
