Sooo...are you saying they are willing to move up for Luck or Bradford but not RGIII.
I'm saying that from what I've heard consensually (that's actually not a word is it? or is it?) they're more inclined to give up assets for Luck or Bradford over RGIII.
Michael Lombardi is saying the chatter at the Senior Bowl was the Redskins plan to sign Kyle Orton. As I think I mentioned in another thread, I've come around to liking that provided we add a couple of young QBs. I hadn't heard that there was new chatter about Orton to the Redskins during the Senior Bowl but I do know that they inquired with the Broncos about trading for him during the pre-season and regular season (I think I only told Matty about this...apologies to the rest of the mods). I can't recall if they made a bid for him when he was waived.

After thinking about it all night I thoroughly believe that RGIII would come here and put up 2,500 yards passing 20 TDs 500 yards rushing and 5 TDs.
On a side note is 2005 the last time we had a QB pass for 20 TDs with Brunell's 23 that year?
Not sure but I think JC went 20 td's and 15 picks one year, either 08 or 09 I believe.

Alright Smoot, my question to you is, now that Peyton is 'healthy' how does this involve/effect the Redskins and Luck and the rumor of us possibly getting Luck or Bradford (more so Luck)?

Thanks I don't mean to hound you I am just so nervous/excited about this draft.

Well, he's not totally "healthy" yet. Right now, I don't think anything has changed

Well he was awarded to the Chiefs so that means we did not put in a claim. Orton is a decent bridge option if we can't get one of the big 3 QB's(Luck,Bradford,RG3) I just think we would have claimed him and had a trial run with him in December if our interest was real.

Was our record worse than the Chiefs at that time? I don't recall

Am I the only one that thinks that Peyton (the greatest QB of all time IMO), doesn't fit a shanahan system offense? I mean c'mon he is probably the slowest, or close to it, QB in the league. Imagine him doing a play action bootleg. You have to be athletic. He does that and bang he's hit before he even looks at a WR and his neck is probably gonners.
I think we're peytons 3,4th option if he gets cut and I think he's our 3,4th option if we don't get the other QB's we want.
I also find it a little odd that yesterday he did an interview with Trey Wingo and he didn't flat out say "I'm feeling 100%, no doubt about it, I have feelings all throughout my arms and legs." He said "I'm feeling better but I still have a little ways to go"
Now all of a sudden he's been cleared!?!? Doesn't make sense to me...
I think Peyton Manning can fit any offense - - other than a Wildcat where he might have to run the ball 15 times a game.
However, try to imagine Peyton Manning in the Skins' training camp as Kyle Shanahan suggests that he change his footwork or his release point. Put thought clouds over Peyton Manning in that scenario and imagine what might go through his mind at that instant.
I doubt the Shanahans would mess with PM much, besides he's pretty sound fundamentally unlike DM who definitely had issues with his footwork his entire career.

Calling Unfair here. D Mac's fundamentals are bad and it effects his efficiency. Severely under/overthrown balls with moderate to no pressure. You don't see Peyton making the same mistakes our coaches tried to fix with McNabb.
