I See QB Rumors (2012 QB Thread: The Sixth Sense)

Am I the only one that thinks RG3 could be there at 6?
1. Colts/ Luck...
2. Rams/ Kalil
3. Vikings/ Claiborne
4. Browns/ Blackmon
5. Bucs/ Richardson

I see what you are saying, but I think the rams are going to snag Blackmon with the #2 pick. Which will then leave the Browns with RG3 probably.

You're trying to shrug off recent success of dynamic QBs. The truth is, if a QB can add a 4.40 to the best deep arm in the draft, you're going to do nothing but improve your stock. But you know this right, NC_Skins?

Besides Cam Newton, which "dynamic QB" are you referring to? Vick? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL I'll come back to you on that when I stop laughing.

Haha. Look at Shanahans quarterback history and maybe you'll have an idea for quarterbacks he likes. But, let's be honest... At this point we don't know what he likes, McNabb, Grossman and Beck were all supposed to be terrific football players. I think he'll settle for the most productive quarterback from this years draft.

I think they went with Rex/Beck because he had no other option and it was a better fit (cost wise) than ponying up a bunch of money to a 36 year old vet (hasslebeck). One thing we do know, he obviously didn't like Gabbert that much, but probably would have drafted Locker.

I'm 100% certain that unless RG3 fails a drug test, suffers a long term injury or does something else that's stupid, he's going to be a top 5 pick. He won't be there at 6 and you can quote me on this.

There again. You can say that all day long, but you don't know for 100% certain when it comes to the draft. You can guess or speculate, but you don't know. Now do I believe he'll be a top 5 selection? Of course I do, but I'm not foolish to sit here and say with 100% certainty.

Randy Moss.

Andre Johnson is in Calvins league in terms of freak of nature as was T.O. Randy was physically gifted but that was basically speed and height. The new guys have Randy's speed and height as well as unmatched strength and physicality for the Wide Receiver position.

Vick is absolutely a franchise QB, if you disagree than I don't know what to tell you.

Why do you say he would have drafted Locker? Did he sit down with you and say it? Or are you going off of Shanny's history and connecting him to a QB that can run the bootleg similarly to RG3? Funny that you say that, yet bash me. In fact RG3 is better than Jake Locker at every single aspect of football... And I loved Jake Locker last year.

You're kidding yourself if you don't think he's a top 5 selection, and considering you're going this far out of your way to tell me that I'm being "foolish", I'll say the same thing about you.

Feck the system.
If Griffin is there you take him and make a new system.
Shanahan is totally blowing it in the QB dept so far.
The Redskins havent had a real QB since the dead sea was mildly ill.
You take that boy!!!

I"m not even going to keep this up with you because you are putting words into my mouth that aren't even there.

I haven't bashed you about anything other than your 100% proclamation and your remark about RGIII not being picked if he's there at #6. If he isn't picked, it will most likely be for a good reason (much like Gabbert)

The Browns would not pass on RGIII for two reasons:

1. RGIII is an exceptional talent.
2. Colt McCoy sucks.

Unfortuneatly the Browns will not pass on RG3, in fact I can even see them trying to move up to make sure somebody such as us doesnt try to move up and snag him which i hope we do. RG3 will go top 5 just not sure to who.
