I am not sold on Hoyer or Flynn at all and dont get how people can be. They have barely played! I wouldnt mind picking one of them up for competition with a rookie and really see what they can do. I really am hoping for a trade up for RG3 or i wouldnt mind bradford or luck either, but i feel like whatever i want we never do, I agree with Smoot I can so see us not getting anyone going into next year. I wouldnt be surprised at all.

*DREAMING* Indy RGIII, St. Lou Luck, Skins trade back twice pick up 2 additional 2nd rd picks trade their 1st & 2nd for Bradford or Luck. If Indy, St. Lou & Skins were smart they would have an agreement were the skins keep tradeing back in the 1st & keep picking up additonal picks and then they all share the picks. Sounds crazy but remember I'm just dreaming.

The developmental QB is no problem. Any of Foles/Cousins/Tannehill has enough talent to become a good NFL QB in time.

On the other hand, the starting QB for 2012 is beginning to look like a BIG problem. As for Hoyer, he is an RFA. I see no reason why NE wouldn't match any reasonable offer for him. That's why we would need to overpay him. I dunno, maybe that's not a problem in the minds of the Skins braintrust.

Patriots may be ready to move Mallett up to #2. Who knows, for sure

Only thing is, do we believe Shanahan has 2-3 more years given to him no matter what happens this coming season? While I believe he should be given his length of his contract to turn things around, I believe another 5-11 season probably would buy his ticket out of D.C.

I don't know much about Hoyer, but I suppose I'd be OK with any of those three rookies as developmental guys.

I think so. I mean I'm not in the locker room or even at the park anymore. But I haven't spoke to one person who is who doesn't have total respect and admiration for Mike and Bruce (and Kyle is right up there as well actually, probably the favorite coach there).

I mean, I know the results haven't been great and I know maybe some of it is just relief that Vinny and Zorn (who everyone also thought was great, just in over his head) are gone.

And I know you gotta have results. But Shanahan, and especially Allen, have made it fun for people to be back in Redskin Park and worth it.

So I guess that's my long winded way of saying he'll have time to make it work.

I really want RG3 i think he can be very special but I feel like with all the talk of us moving up to get it him it wont happen, it never works out how everyone says there will be a curveball from him and we wont get him. I hope im wrong

I agree. What has the guy proven really? same with Flynn. Yea they have played good when they had the chance but in very limited time, its too little to go by for me and to count on being our qb solution.

I still am not so sure they're going to trade up for RG3. But I know I'm in the minority on that

Minority as in minority among the rest of us average Joes, or in the minority among your colleagues?

Also what is the asking price for Hoyer. Even if it was only a third rounder it would still be odd to use both a second and a third on two different QB prospects even if you trade down from 6 to acquire more picks.

You're better off not knowing but if you really want to know you can check out Alvin Walton's first few post in the Super Happy Fun Thread.

Both, actually.

I said the same thing last year when my cohorts were all saying we were going to trade up for Blaine Gabbert. Though I caved at the last minute because Houston Chronicle's John McLain swayed my opinion.
