I agree, our QB stable is quite stale. I'd like to have three new names after the draft. (UDFA's)
If our QB's are getting stale then we should quickly put them in the freezer with the dolls.

The rams aren't giving Sam up it's why Fisher took that job
Fisher took the job because he has the keys to the city with personnel moves. He did not in Miami. He would have to answer to Jeff Ireland. Having a stable QB is just a plus. He could easily trade him, get draft picks and draft RG3 as his replacement.

For the longest time I thought Grossman was pretty much a lock to return. In recent days though, I've gotten the impression they are ready to move on. Or at least let him test the market before making any decision.
In somewhat related news, new mock draft from National Football Post
Mock Draft: Version 2.0 | National Football Post (http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Mock-Draft-Version-20.html)
I still am not so sure they're going to trade up for RG3. But I know I'm in the minority on that
If they let him walk then who comes in and starts day one? As sad as this sounds he gives us the best chance to win opening day 2012.

Well, are we looking to win opening day or still be playing in late January?
Hoyer to start, Foles/Cousins/Tannehill (maybe in that order) to finish is my current prediction. Shanahan recently said if he can't get his franchise guy this year he wants someone he feels he can develop into his franchise guy in 2-3 years. Which is why I think it will be one of those 3 rookies taken by the Redskins.
As for Hoyer, Flynn is getting all the publicity but I know a lot of team execs around the league think Hoyer has the better upside (though I believe he's just an RFA)

If thats the case and MS goes less than 9-7 its going to be hard to keep the Buzzards from circling.

With Peyton Manning on his way out the door it really makes no sense for the Colts NOT to draft Andrew Luck with the number one pick. That is if they really believe that Luck is a once in a generation quarterback who could put the Colts back on a trajectory of becoming a winning franchise again.
The possibility of Manning not playing for Colts next season (if that indeed happens), I think, is probably Irsay's way of nudging him into retirement out of a genuine concern for his health -- probably moreso than his perceived inability to co-exist with Andrew Luck.
And that might be the way the Colts wants everybody to think - that there's no possible way they'd not draft Andrew Luck at #1. Don't get me wrong, I think it's likely the Colts still draft Andrew Luck, but I'm starting to believe it may not be their best option.

The developmental QB is no problem. Any of Foles/Cousins/Tannehill has enough talent to become a good NFL QB in time.
On the other hand, the starting QB for 2012 is beginning to look like a BIG problem. As for Hoyer, he is an RFA. I see no reason why NE wouldn't match any reasonable offer for him. That's why we would need to overpay him. I dunno, maybe that's not a problem in the minds of the Skins braintrust.

Only thing is, do we believe Shanahan has 2-3 more years given to him no matter what happens this coming season? While I believe he should be given his length of his contract to turn things around, I believe another 5-11 season probably would buy his ticket out of D.C.
I don't know much about Hoyer, but I suppose I'd be OK with any of those three rookies as developmental guys.
