I am fairly confident the main reason was in Miami Fisher would have been taking orders from Jeff Ireland, where as in St. Louis he was given the keys to the city with personnel decisions.

That's what I heard.

I was surprised at how critical he was of Rex. Somewhat refreshing. I came away from the interview feeling a lot better about Kyle Shanahan.

My favorite quote - "He kept both teams in most games."

I thought the most interesting thing he said was when he described Helu as a change of pace back. I thought he looked like more then that.

Switching back to a 3-4 now would be retarded. Haslet is not going anywhere so let him get the last few pieces he needs for his side of the ball before we scrape this D. They were significantly better this year then last, and they will get better. No reason to go back now.

The more I think about Rak, I think he should be shopped. He may not be the right fit for an OLB in a 3-4. He really fell off this year even though we upgraded the whole unit.

If he is a piece we can part with to get a QB then I am all for it. We can find another player who plays as well as him quicker then we will find another QB we really like.

I'll start by saying that I'm a huge Rak fan. I love the fact that he hates losing, he is a competitor and I think he likes being a Skin. However, the thing that bothers me most is he gets stood up so easily and seems so limited in his moves. I don't get why he hasn't shown improvement this year.

IDK. VTSkins brought something different to this ... "get QB or I'm turning in my fan card" comments. He mentions he'd like to see the Skins (yet again make a change after 2 yrs) go back to a 4-3, but funny someone would want that when our defense was not the problem last year and they even played better then the year before.

Funny how this is a thread started about us possibly getting Andrew Luck or Sam Bradford, then it changes to the possibility of us going back to a 4-3 defense...

If people have thoughts about other topics, then they should post those topics in the proper thread, these threads gets so big to the point where theres so many off topic posts and pages to read that you just end up skimming through some of the important posts.

We are in a 3-4 now.

I'm quite positive he meant 4-3. I'm assuming he did anyways or I at least gave him the benefit of the doubt.

I'm not implying that we should switch back for the sake of switching back. I'm saying I would want us to switch back to a 4-3 before trading Orakpo. Both would not be good. I'm totally against trading Orakpo. I think that Orakpo will continue to improve as an OLB.

The defense has improved but in my humble opinion we should have never gone to a 3-4. Now that we have we should try to ride it out at least 2 more years before making any real judgement on it.

Haha...I remember that post. I didn't really believe it at the time but I do now after hearing Kyle on Friday. His description of the RB's seemed to me like the one portion of the interview where he was being completely honest and not worrying about tipping his hand. I liked his comment on Hank also...seems like they are still real high on him.
