Larry Michael: weeden drops back to pass throws deep to davis, it's caught for TD. That ball sure had some smoke on it to Davis, right Sonny.
Sonny: it sure did it looked like it was on fire, this joint is rockin, haven't heard FedEx like this ever, right Sam.
Sam: you bet sonny, did you see Trent Williams roll that DE up on that play.
Larry: we will be right back to the game redskins 6 because we missed the extra point dallas 0 with 4:20 to go in the 1st quarter.

LMAO :laughing2

Do you think that the Colts will trade Manning?

Hahahahahah

Luck.

If we make a splash of a trade, we don't make that splash to get the #2 QB on the board. The Colts have more holes than just QB, and they take the extra picks and go QB later.

The fallacy in that thinking is that the Colts are not just thinking about the short term future. From what I have read, they seem to regard Luck as their QB for the next 10-15 years. While I am not a big fan of their owner, I really don't think he would give up this opportunity to draft and develop a franchise QB. Just don't see this one happening.

I selected Griffin because it's not farfetched to think that the Redskins will trade up to get him. I can see the Redskins trading away:

2012 1st round pick
2012 2nd round pick
2013 2nd round pick
2013 3rd round pick
.....all in exchange for the St. Louis Rams 2012 2nd overall selection and possibly a draft choice in the later rounds in order to get RG3.

Rather have Luck.

Either Luck or Griffin would be sufficient. Considering that it looks as if Peyton Manning will not return to Indianapolis, Jim Irsay will hold on to the Colts #1 pick and draft Luck. The only way Bruce Allen and Mike Shanahan will take Luck is if the Colts and their new GM decide to take RG3 over Luck and Luck ends up second quarterback taken.

Draft day will be interesting.

I don't think stockpiling multiple first round picks and still being able to potentially grab a 1st round caliber QB would be considered thinking short term. It really just depends on how they rate Luck compared to other available prospects.

Weeden is not worth the 6th pick at all. If we can't get RGIII or Luck in the first and don't trade down (which I don't see happening) take Blackmon/Claiborne/Richardson at 6 and if he's your guy take Weeden in the 2nd and Lindey/Osweiler/Wilson in the 4th.

I'm on board with your first and last statements. Because of Weeden's age, you don't draft him that high. The dilemma here is that due to the shortage of quality QB prospects in this year's draft it would not be surprising if Weeden crept up into the first round. What helps the Skins though is that because teams selecting later in round one, looking to promote competition with their QB situation, won't see much value drafting a 28 year old to perhaps hold the clipboard. With the Skins, he's perfect to be brought in with the expectations of winning the starting position over Grossman and another rookie. Tell me of another team with a fitting situation?

The "worst" case scenario is that Luck, RG3, Khalil, Claiborne, and Blackmon are gone before the sixth pick and because I don't think Shanahan values taking a RB (Richardson) that high, this could open up a situation for a trade or maybe the Skins look to draft say, Coples or whoever else is atop their board. The possibilities are endless but, I think the Skins will have some great options there and still be able to draft Weeden in 2nd round. That of course depends on if they covet him. Right now, I do.
