Looks like more coaching changes for the Redskins...
"Chris Russell @Russellmania980
Hearing that it is likely another coaching staff move will be made tomorrow, but it is not a major name. Stay tuned #Redskins"

I think this is a good move. I think it is also a major move for if and when Kyle becomes HC. His DC is already on the staff. I wonder if they will go after Hue Jackson to become WR coach. More than likely it will be another young guy or Slowick

The only continuity I have seen on the defensive side of the ball is terrible play from the safeties and corners. I know this may be a stupid thing to say, but the 3-4 switch should not have anything in the secondary, yet they continued to struggle. Despite what other people think, I also think the FS position has suffered since Sean Taylor's passing. I thought Atogwe would be the answer, but obviously injuries have affected his play.
I agree with this. After he passed I was really hoping it wouldn't be the downfall of our excellent safety tandem (seriously, the first half of the '07 season was the best tandem safety play I've ever seen by two Redskins, and it had me convinced Taylor and Landry would be a All Pro duo for years to come) and since then we've seen Doughty, Landry, Moore, and Atogwe at free safety and all of them have been very underwhelming, to say the least.

For the record, the Tampa Bay Bucs lost their last 10 games this year under Morris' stewardship.
Four losses this year were by 28 points or more.
Bucs gave up 494 points this year - - most in the NFL. The next worst scoring defense gave up 45 points less than the Bucs did.
Many observers believed that the team quit sometime around early December.
For the record the year before he was 10-6 with a team starting 10 rookies. Don't fall victim to the "error of recency". I can't tell why they stunk up the joint this season anymore than I can tell why they didn't the year before...neither means he's great or awful.

In all honesty, Morris should have been given at least 1 more season to prove himself. The man led his young team to a 10 win season. Sure they lost 10 straight this past season but it was no more his fault than it was the players who quit on him. So in essence, this guy should still be a head coach. We should be grateful to have him as a position coach.

This is interesting, Morris took over as defensive backs coach in 2007 for the Bucs. The previous year they were ranked 19th in passing defense, when Morris took over they were the #1 passing defense, they were also top 10 in opponent's QB rating, and I top 10 in fewest TDs allowed. Granted, this was still Monte Kiffin's defense, but still this is encouraging.
