Just heard on espn980 that Dez Bryant got arrested at a night club in Miami... Not seeing anything else about it, so stay tuned I guess.
Damn he's starting early this year, 2 weeks into the offseason?
I wasn't saying trade for manning, if and only if he becomes a free agent

Media darlings Aaron Rogers and Drew Brees lost. Too bad! Ha!
It is a fact the NFL changed the rules of the game over the last 10 to 15 years years to increase passing. Allowing offensive lineman to hold, denying DB's any contact on receivers after 3.5 yards from scrimmage and all of the rules to protect Qb's and defenseless recievers . Now we have Qb's breaking records right and left and the media wants us to to believe it is all that these QB's are better than the ones that played before. Wrong. There are great players on defense in the NFL as well.
Well now there is justice. The teams that have bought into the NFL's attempt to make the NFL a "QB driven league" and are hyper dependent on throwing the ball are getting beat in the playoffs. Balanced teams that run the ball as many times as they pass and commit to running the ball are doing well. Atlanta that gave away most of their draft picks for ONE WR are at home. They thought they were one WR away from the promise land. NO.
NOW we already have media bitches today saying a Ravens vs. 49ers SB would be boring. Well Tom Terrific and the Pats are 0-2 against teams over .500 recors this year.
Ravens can beat them because they have a running game and a good defense. Which New England defense will show next weekend? The one that played a weak Tebow offense or the one that got slammed all season this year? I say the bad one.
2 defensive teams are left along with 2 QB driven ones. Sounds about right.

Giants, 49ers, Ravens, Patriots. 3 of those teams are coming in with hot QB's. Two of which are number one overall picks (don't know the last time we were able to say something like that). The Ravens are the only ones without a QB capable of carrying them right now and that could easily change in a moments notice.

Maybe we've got his thing all wrong. Screw worrying about the QB situation and hope the Skins draft guys to bolster the defense even more.

The Packers and Saints are nothing but offense. Sure the Packers have a few playmakers on the defensive side of the ball, but overall they're terrible. To allow 37 points in a home playoff game as a 15-1 defending champ.... Inexcusable. Same reason I don't see NE winning it all.
San Fran could win the whole thing. They really could. As much as a I want see a Harbaugh bowl, I think San Fran-NE would be a really fun match up.

With the exception of the Ravens the other 3 teams got to the Conference Championship with a lot of fire power on offense. The runt of the offensive litter this past week (which excludes the defensive minded Ravens) was the 49ers with 36 points (Giants 37, Bronco's 45).
Not saying defense isn't important but without offense you can't beat a team like the Saints, especially when they put up 32 points. I will say though that defense has been a big reason the Giants are playing next week. Shutting out the Falcons offense and then holding the Packers to 20 points.

Right on. To this I would add that while Flacco may underachieve somewhat, he's not terrible. One could argue that this weekend shows that a good to elite QB is required for winning championships now.
We need at least a very good, and hopefully elite, QB.

The NFL isnt attempting to make the league QB driven, its already been done.
