If we do get Payton we will trade down and Id assume pick up Mike Adams and Michael Floyd or a quality corner. The emphasis will be on the offense this year. tc2deuce 02-05-2012, 02:06 PM we will regret not getting RGIII NC_Skins 02-05-2012, 02:09 PM we will regret not getting RGIII Heard the same thing in regards to Jimmy Clausen. Alvin Walton 02-05-2012, 02:16 PM Heard the same thing in regards to Jimmy Clausen. Also applicable to Andy Dalton. Son Of Man 02-05-2012, 02:31 PM Signing Payton Manning if healthy give us a top 5 Qb and doesn't cost us any draft picks. If we do get Payton we will trade down and Id assume pick up Mike Adams and Michael Floyd or a quality corner. The emphasis will be on the offense this year. Manning would, at best, be a 3 year solution. This strategy would require us to seucre an understudy for him this year. Interesting, no other QB who has "learned" by being Manning's back-up has amounted to much. I would prefer to pass on Manning and draft a highly talented rookie (RG3) or trade for a young stud (Bradford...if available). NC_Skins 02-05-2012, 02:43 PM Also applicable to Andy Dalton. Not really since he was pick right before our second round pick and that was what he was slated as. (2nd rounder) JC was slated to go high first round. SmootSmack 02-05-2012, 03:24 PM I don't buy the argument that it's somehow Manning's fault no QBs have developed under him. SmootSmack 02-05-2012, 03:35 PM I'll have more thoughts on Peyton later. |
