The "Inside Word" on the QB Search

If the Rams draft RGIII they are essentially 'giving up' on Bradford.
There is no way the asking price for a passed over QB is gonna be anywhere near 2 first round picks.

I smell desperation to get a QB. This talk of giving a ton to get a Qb is crazy.

Depends on the QB. If you're giving up potential Orakpo, Williams, and Kerrigan for Blaine Gabbert then yes. If you're giving up those potential type players for Andrew Luck then you bet your ass it's worth it.

Man, I hope Andrew Luck is as good as advertised.

I really could see this draft having a Leaf/Schuler effect going on. I know Luck is categorized as the next great QB, but how many times have we heard this kind of hype just to be let down. You never know with these kids.

I for one am not willing to part with all that it would take to get Luck.

the more i think about it, i wouldnt give up 2 1st round picks for him. he was a 1st round pick and if the rams want to get rid of him he loses some value IMO. i would give up this years 1st and next years 3rd or 4th round pick.

And there in lies my point. IF Bradford was such a good QB or a franchise QB they would not be getting g rid of him after only a few yrs. There is no reason to give up 2 first RD picks, heck I don't think I would give up one first RD pick.

Now if the Rams are giving the Skins their #2 pick then yes I guess 2 first RD picks but not for Bradford. My fear is the team tosses in several waisted picks for Bradford who's not going to do much better then Grossman and still be the same old Bradford cause our OL is not any better then the Rams was.

I think the most obsurd statements by the media is its ok for the Skins to give up several picks to the Rams because the Rams have need of them and are "rebuilding". But apparently the Skins are not rebuilding like MS said the team was late in the season. I guess the Skins are all set player wise and don't need anything more then Bradford.

It's not really the traditional "giving up" situation when there are entirely new decision makers in place and they are in position to get the #2 QB in the current draft. All it's saying is that they prefer RG3 and picks over Bradford. if we get Bradford we are in the game...regardless of the cost.

Well, Shefter just said when Manning is released, the Redskins will have "all their eggs in the Peyton Manning basket" and WILL pursue him. Apparently also looking at Matt Flynn and Kyle Orton, as well as possibly moving up to #2 in the draft.

When a franchise makes the decision that they 'prefer' another QB they are telling everyone that they don't believe the QB the had could become a franchise QB.
That is the ultimate de-valution.

You can label it however you like.
But if the Rams draft RGIII it is what it is.

All this is moot though, because I don't think the Rams are gonna draft RGIII.
And if they do I would be more then happy for the Allen/Shanahan to steal Bradford from them on the cheap.

Me? No, I've already told teams I'm only signing with the Ravens or Jets
