Having said that, look at the QB that the Skins had "competing with Rex" in training camp on something purported to be an equal footing. Compared to John Beck, Rex Grossman looks like a perennial All-Pro candidate... I agree about Rex as a starter. Those days are over. But I actually think he's one of the better backups in the league. As bad as we thought Rex was, a couple weeks of Beck changed that. The difference between the two was obvious. If Rex was the Bears backup they probably make the playoffs and Angelo keeps his job. I have no problem bringing back Rex as a backup behind a clear #1 QB. Both are FA's so it will be interesting to see if either leave or get picked up by another team as a back up. That might decide who stays and who doesn't. I'd prefer the house cleaning idea and both be let go. | |
