Bushead 01-17-2012, 11:26 PM The Redskins are going to get two QBs, it is just wait and see how they do it. 44Deezel 01-17-2012, 11:27 PM I've heard from a friend who has a contact within the Colts' organization that they're high on RGIII, and that Andrew Luck isn't necessarily a lock to be their pick. Take it for what it's worth. It is second-hand info, but my friend is well connected and hasn't let me down before. Totally agreed. Well put. This is a QB league, and we don't have anyone on the roster who is even close to being a competitive starter in the league, let alone championship caliber. Yes, we have a lot of holes, but the biggest one is QB. Plug that one and then fill in the rest. I think Shanny & Allen have the same philosophy but just whiffed big time on Dono. I cannot understand what the knock is on RGIII. Because of the hype? I know there's a lot of hyped players who tanked. Should that hurt his draft stock? For every JaMarcus Russell & Ryan Leaf, there's a Cam Newton & Peyton Manning. Then the whole skill set argument not fitting Shanny's system. Come on! He's a mobile, pin point passer with a dangerous deep ball. Hello. He's not a run first QB, but he is an elite scrambler. I don't understand the criticism either that he ran the spread in college. You know who else ran the spread in college and it's translated well to the pros? Drew Brees. Of course, I'm on the RGIII bandwagon. I would love a high character leader for this team who can straight up ball. If his playmaking ability and leadership transfer over to the pros, he will inspire the team and win more games for us. Wouldn't we all like to see some inspired football for a change? If he's not the franchise QB, I still think the team needs to do whatever it takes to find one, and then, plug up the holes. That's how important a franchise QB is in this league. There are always going to be "knocks" on guys as highly touted as RGIII, because there are no guarantees, and history tells us that the odds are 50/50at best for QBs taken in the top 10-15 picks. Even Luck is not a lock. I think most fans want RGIII, me included, but there's nothing wrong with being worried about what he will cost. If we give up 4 or more high picks, and he doesn't pan out we're going to be in for some next level pain and misery. :Flush: SmootSmack 01-17-2012, 11:33 PM High five on the Tannehill-Flynn choice. :food-smil Hoyer-Foles diehard 01-17-2012, 11:42 PM I feel like a lot of people have changed their opinion on the whole trade picks to get your QB idea. I don't remember such a groundswell of support for Cutler RG3 is way better than Cutler. 44Deezel 01-17-2012, 11:49 PM RG3 is way better than Cutler. Already? 0-0 for 0 yards, 0 TDs and 0 INTs. Let's get that HOF Bust ready;) Bubba305-ST21- 01-17-2012, 11:50 PM For someone who is saying MS needs to get it right and take the right QB because this coming year might cost him his job after year 3 in a 5 year contract, I'm supprised you would settle for an unknown commodity. I think people get too riled up about who "THEY" want or would like to see the Skins get that they forget that there are other choices. What if MS and KS don't believe RG3 is their style of QB? When did I ever say i think MS may lose his job? I believe in him and I think he knows what he is doing, I just want a good cornerstone qb. KI Skins Fan 01-17-2012, 11:57 PM Well, if the Skins should sign Flynn as a FA then I'd like to see them trade down to the middle of the 1st Round. If they were to trade down that far, they should be able to pick up a 2nd Round pick and a 4th Round pick. Then, I'd like to see them trade up (using one of their three 4th Round picks and lower picks) to get another 3rd Round pick. That would give them one 1st Round pick, two 2nd Round picks, two 3rd Round picks, and two 4th Round picks. They should be able to get a lot of talented players with 7 picks in the first four rounds. Add that to a good FA group and the Skins should be much improved. Bubba305-ST21- 01-17-2012, 11:58 PM Funny the same thing was said about Locker last year. Also the opposite was said about Dalton. I really wish we had taken Dalton just to quiet down the panicked "we have to get a Rookie QB" because no one else can get the job done. Franchise QBs are developed and work well over years of service, what you want is a flash in the pan.... Another Mile Vick, how many SB's did he win? I'd rather have someone who can be developed and take this team into the play offs for many years because he is the right QB for our system vs having a highlight reel. The same was said about Locker last year because its true, hes better than anything we have. I'll pass on a flash in the pan, I know franchise QBs are developed over time. I believe RG3 will come in as a good quarterback for a team and for sure improve over the years especially with his style of play and mindset. I also have a feeling he will produce many highlights as well. highlights = points = offense = wins = playoffs= championships = what the skins neeeeed SmootSmack 01-17-2012, 11:59 PM Already? 0-0 for 0 yards, 0 TDs and 0 INTs. Let's get that HOF Bust ready;) Took the words right out my mouth skinsfaninok 01-18-2012, 12:10 AM Hoyer-Foles Jack Daniels this early? #Hail to the Redskins |
