And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........

Agreed. Developing a rookie QB buys Shanahan more time.I would have thought that last year.

Unless 2012 is a complete disaster, I just don't think Snyder wants to go that route again just yet, and I don't think most fans want that either.

Don't count us out of the Andrew Luck running just yet

No thanks. Too steep of a price. These guys that we have in the FO and scouting need to find some diamonds in the rough. We need to find the next Drew Brees. Or Tom Brady. Or Kurt Warner.

I think that's what they will think as well and I agree.......

Trent Richardson is impossible to take down. Look at these high schoolers as they fail time after time.

Brees was a top round pick. Not exactly a diamond in the rough :)

I'll give you Brady and Warner. Those guys dont come around often though and I see more as dumb luck then great scouting. Warner was cut before he got the starting nod when Green went down for the Rams.

Just give me a playmaker at 6 and I will be happy or turn the pick into a playmaker and someone else, just keep building the team.

BTW I don't want MS gone till we have given him all the time HE needs to get it right.

Seen that video before. Obviously they need to use a sledgehammer HHH style.

Wasn't Brees a second rounder? Or late first? Either way, he's going into the hall of fame and wasn't the first QB taken in the draft. San Diego even gave up on him and drafted Rivers. Dumbasses!

I'll never forget the day we lost the Drew Brews sweepstakes to New Orleans. Oh wait, we never even tried. I forgot.

So, since the order has been decided, what are we going to do? Drop in the first, pick up picks, grab a cb in the first, foles in the second and try to stockpile?

Move up to number 3 and snag RG3?

Trade a 3rd and a TE for Sanchez, and use the first pick on Blackmon, and the second rounder on BPA?

Trade down a couple times, stockpile picks, and then start filling needs with BPA with our stockpile? (we know shanahan can do this, and can evaluate talent pretty well......)

So........since the order is set in stone, and kids are declaring, and the NFL wheels keep on rollin', what do you want to happen, or what do you think will happen?

I see Mike Shanahan proceeding one of two ways: he can either trade up to draft RG3 assuming that the Colts draft Luck, or draft Luck if the Colts draft RG3. Or Shanahan and Bruce Allen can sign Matt Flynn in free agency and keep all of their draft picks. They can use their picks to stockpile like they did during last April's draft, or just stay put in each round and draft out according to team needs.

I like the idea of grabbing Flynn and trading back for more picks. Even with Flynn, I wouldn't rule out grabbing another QB in the draft, even in the early rounds. Going into next year with Flynn, Grossman and a rookie QB drafted in the first or second round sounds good to me.
