And with the 6th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the redskins select...........

We draft 6th. How do you figure that Blackmon would get past Minnesota, Cleveland, and Tampa? I think we'd have to move up to get him but the teams ahead of us would have little incentive to trade down with great players on the board.

If I were Minnesota, I'd stay where I am in the draft and take Blackmon after St. Louis takes Kalil (who I also think would be a great pick for St. Louis). Ponder needs Blackmon.

I expect the Skins to try to sign either Vincent Jackson or Dwayne Bowe in Free Agency.

I don't figure anything. I'm just saying if those teams gobbled up Luck and RG III, maybe somehow the Redskins would get lucky and land Blackmon. There's a mock draft having us drafting him, but I also see mock drafts with us drafting RG III. I don't think the teams would necessarily have little incentives in trading down. As matter of fact, they probably wouldn't have to trade down very far to pick up extra draft picks AND still land their guy. Trust me, I have a feeling there's going to be plenty incentives in trading those picks down.

I agree. The Skins are a good QB and bonafide #1 WR away from being a serious threat on Offense. Don't forget the wide receiver talent available in free agency. I wouldn't mind seeing Dwayne Bowe in the maroon and black;). If Cleveland makes a run at Flynn, RGIII could drop to 6.

LOL! I love it, maroon and black! ;)

This is one free agency where I don't mind the Redskins going a little crazy. If they don't somehow get lucky and draft someone like Blackmon, landing a guy like Dwayne Bowe would be great. I can't believe KC would be willing to give up someone like him though.

I'm seeing a lot of mock drafts that have the Redskins picking Trent Richardson at #6. I understand he's a beast at RB, but I just don't get why the Redskins would use their top pick to draft yet another RB? I'm failing to see the logic in that!

I've seen some other mock drafts with the 'skins taking either Justin Blackmon or Alshon Jeffery. One that seems the most believable to me would the be the Redskins drafting DE Quinton Coples, although I think he comes from a 4-3 system from UNC.

Boy I hope we don't do that. We've got two young guys that have proven that they can get the job done. Besides some of the top teams with the best offenses...New Orleans, New England and Green Bay don't have a true stud at RB. They have great QB's and that's where the focus should be.

We're not taking a RB at #6, that's just ridiculous

Just throwing this out there, but if I am the Redskins looking to get a true #1 WR in the 1st round of the draft I would take Alshon Jeffery WR- South Carolina. This kid is a bonafide #1 with as many plakmaking abilities as ANY WR in the draft. He is also a good kid without any baggage. Just my 2cents.

not going to happen, especially with the two young guys on our roster, and shannys tendency to turn gold out of complete shit in the draft, at least as far as later round RB prospects. Too many holes on this team to use our HIGHEST pick on a position where there is supposed young blood and strength already on the roster locked up. It will be used ON a quarterback, or in a deal to GET our quarterback. Sorry, but Mike Shanahan does not have 9 lives, and he needs to get the young guy in here and hitch his career to him. Time is running out for him to show promise at the QB position. He HAS to make a move.

There are 4 guys I can see snapping the ball for us next year.

#1 - Sam Bradford
#2 - Nick Foles
#3 - R. Tannehill
#4 - M. Flynn

I feel good about the options the team will have this offseason. I'm a bit unsure about the outcome of this offseason though.
