So what should it be this year offence or defence this year that we need to work on. Since our D was #3 I think that we need to work on offence. How bout it?
Offence or Defencerdsknfn2003 01-26-2005, 05:53 PM So what should it be this year offence or defence this year that we need to work on. Since our D was #3 I think that we need to work on offence. How bout it? CRT3 01-26-2005, 07:18 PM Defense Add a DE and a another solid corner. We want to be #1 wolfeskins 01-26-2005, 07:53 PM the o needs the most "work" , the d just needs to add a few players ( de & cb if smoot leaves ) TheMalcolmConnection 01-26-2005, 08:35 PM I think both. The defense has improvement to make, because the fans AND the team aren't going to be satisfied until they are #1. I think the offense shares the same mentality. If we got anything, we got team spirit, yeah boy. Just a couple pickups here and there and we'll be doing fine on both sides of the ball. DCopper04 01-27-2005, 01:33 AM Offensive improvement is clearly the bigger need. But I don't think that necessarily means that we need to go out and break the bank in typical Snyder-fashion to get some offensive playmakers. I truly believe that the biggest problem with the offense this year (aside form Brunell) was the playcalling. I think that at the beginning of the year, Gibbs was looking to replicate the success he had in the past running the football, and he was hesitant to back off of that stance when things weren't working. I think he was working hard to validate the trade and subsequent blockbuster extension given to Portis, and he also wanted to prove that bringing in Brunell was the right move. Now that we are past that phase, I think Gibbs and Breaux will be more open to taking shots downfield and fixing the offensive problems that we experienced this past year. offiss 01-27-2005, 02:10 AM Offensive line [center] and a big fast reciever, this will keep our defense off the field and fresh and propel them into the #1 D in the league. rdsknfn2003 01-27-2005, 10:54 AM Offensive improvement is clearly the bigger need. Cause Gibbs will learn from his mistake, and change them. But As for the D I think that they did great all year long. But the O line needs much improvement and I think that will be the case when the draft comes around. When it does I think that we will get a good O lineman. If we don't then I will be the first to say I was wrong. Daseal 01-27-2005, 11:09 AM A better O will lead to a better D. Keep them off the field! Go for O! Center, Blocking TE, WR. Other than that. Leave it alone. Add a DE on defense, besides that, just replace anything we lose! rdsknfn2003 01-27-2005, 11:11 AM Ok then if we lose Smoot who will take his place? That is as good or better then him. MTK 01-27-2005, 11:22 AM The offense clearly needs more attention this offseason. |
