What is Matt Flynn Worth to the Redskins

I'll say this, matt schaub didn't start but like 3 games for the falcons, and now he's a top 10 QB...Schaub had an entire three year college starting career and a good draft grade to justify what people were seeing. (And yet, had Schaub failed, a bunch of people would have lined up outside Kubiak's office to yell "Called it!")

Flynn has...9 touchdown passes and QB competition with Brian Brohm. And whatever you think a BCS championship (with a two loss team) is worth.

To me, the guy I would compare Flynn to (if I were in favor of getting Flynn) would be Matt Cassel.

But I am also not in favor of Flynn, in part because of Matt Cassel.

Probably a perfect comparison.. College backup to pro backup in a phenomenal system who had success surrounded by elite players. It's very risky projecting those players as starters and paying a ton of money on hope.

I don't care what the system is or what talent they have around them. Davis would be every bit as good as Finley on that team and we should be able to get a true #1 WR in the offseason. Our RBs are just as good or better and Kyle's system is very similar to Green Bays.I think you should care about their system and their talent because its the context in which Flynn is being evaluated.
If you're saying you like Flynn because of his physical skillset then by all means dismiss the context.
But, if you like Flynn because of his production you'd better play close attention to the system and the talent where he amassed that production.
Because rest assured you're signing/trading Flynn's physical skillset not his production.
And imo Flynn skillset suggest that he's more of the quintessential 'system' QB then he is a scheme diverse physically gifted QB.
And if you're signing a system QB you'd better be able to replicate the the pieces of that system (caoching/gameplanning/playcalling/talent (receiving corps/OL etc) if you want similar results.
