Arrington Seeks Arbitration
Despite public comments hinting that he would drop his contract grievance against the Redskins, linebacker LaVar Arrington still is seeking an arbitration hearing date, according to the NFL and the NFL Players Association.
The arbitration hearing over a $6.5 million bonus had been scheduled for Nov. 2 but was postponed because of a scheduling conflict with one of the NFL's lawyers. Arrington has contended that deadline pressure prevented his agent, Carl Poston, from properly examining an eight-year, $68 million contract extension signed in December 2003. According to sources familiar with the situation, Poston faces disciplinary measures pending the outcome of the hearing.
I wish this would just get settled one way or the other already
