So who is the Redskins veteran that Gibbs is trying to resign? My guess is Samuels. I have a feeling Smooty is gone, plus the Skins are kind of handcuffed until they finalize Samuels' situation. So I'm guessing Samuels is the priority right now in the front office. Any thoughts? FRPLG 01-26-2005, 04:34 PM I'd say Smoot honestly...without having much information it seems most of the other negotiations have been going pretty smoothly and might not require staying up until the wee hours of the morning. The only reason to do that is to beat a deadline or strike while the iron is hot. Iron is hot = making progress where there wasn't much before.
