I have to say, the man is a good coach, I just hate that he's never gotten a chance to take a team to a Super Bowl as a head coach. He's come close, but no cigar. John Madden was the Raiders linebackers coach when Oakland hired him in 1969. He was the last head coach with a defensive background in Oakland.
