Aha, I've figured it out. MS is going to take J.Haslett and make him the OC, and he's going to take his son KS and make him the DC in hopes it works out so he can rub it in Andy Reids face next year? ;)

Honestly I wouldn't get rid of him cause I think he has done a decent job in NY, maybe not recently but he's doing the best he can with what he has. It still is better then what the Skins have. But to answer your question? yes. MS should be given his whole 5 yrs cause Cerrato had 10 yrs to make it what it is now so giving a HC 5 yrs to fix what our old GM took 10 yrs to ruin is not uncalled for. Besides, the longer your in ruin the longer it will take to fix the problem. The Giants were not in too bad a shape prior to Coughlin so when he came in he didn't have to do too much to right the ship. Shanahan has basically had to "rebuild" even though he has denied wishing to use the "rebuild" word.Vinny Cerrato was a high ranking official on the Redskins for a long time and had his hand in the cookie jar for moves being made way back in 2000. But if the topic is executive authority, Mike Shanahan has actually now exceeded Cerrato in the amount of weeks he had total control of the roster. Unless the argument is that Vinny was ruining the Redskins while subservient to Joe Gibbs, in which case, I guess I don't understand the point. Shanahan has basically had to "rebuild" even though he has denied wishing to use the "rebuild" word. Shanahan chose to rebuild when he blew up a solid defense and totally screwed himself at QB. He hasn't even climbed himself out of the whole he dug because the defense is no better than the one he inherited and the QB situation is worse than what he inherited. If Mike was truly being evaluated for his performance over the last two years he's 1) the worst HC over the two year period to NOT be fired and 2) the HC most responsible for his team's failures. Unless the argument is that Vinny was ruining the Redskins while subservient to Joe Gibbs, in which case, I guess I don't understand the point. No the arguement is Cerrato had his hand in everything and when he felt he was losing control he underminded the very people who tried to take the control. I have no doubt Cerrato's decisions as DS's best friend/#2 ran this team into the ground with his decision making. 10 yrs of it. It's going to take more then 2 yrs to fix that. Well when you make a complete overhaul of the offense and defense then yes your gunna suck for a couple of yrs until you get all the pieces to fix the puzzle. MS wanted a 3-4 defense. I have no problem with that, heck I like the 3-4. But Haslett needed to get all the pieces which he didn't have the first year which is why they sucked. This year the defense has looked a lot better and next year with Jarvis returning and maybe some more puzzle pieces the defense will rock. Offensively I like the scheme, I like the starters, I like the back ups who have done admirably filling in, and basically think we need a QB, and WR and maybe 1 or 2 OL. I guess I'm just a positive person and seem to get let down each year but I'm always ... maybe next year. On a side note I was looking at the magazine rack recently wishing the draft magazine's and the other NFL magazines were out. lol. Pretty bad that I get all hyped up more for the magazines at this point. lol. Why would you need something to get at that fine piece of Crisco? Giantone 01-01-2012, 11:10 AM Umm, outside of NY-ville many rumors are cough, cough, Coughlin's job is on the line. I am outside as you say "NY ville" but what people fail to understand the Giants job is TC's till ...he decides to leave.I like Fisher and Cowher....I'd love to have Spaggs back but TC is the HC till he decides to move on. MTK 01-01-2012, 11:16 AM If anyone thinks the rumor mill on Coughlin is intense outside of NY, you have no idea what it's like inside. He's almost always on the hotseat year in and year out. What else is new. skinsfaninok 01-01-2012, 11:18 AM My friends in Tampa are saying there are rumors spreading fast of a Jeff fisher hiring by next week |
