Buy or Sell?

Rumor #1 is that the Eagles will shop DeSean Jackson unless his agent (Drew Rosenhaus) comes down more than a little bit on the amount of the signing bonus he wants in the new contract. Jackson not only wants guaranteed $$$ but he wants it up front at signing not stretched out over even 2 years. Jackson is a hell of a receiver but he is also a head-case and someone who has been known to "dog it".

Do you buy making a run at DeSean Jackson to upgrade by a large measure the Skins' WR corps even though he has some "issues" and is looking to get himself a fat wallet?

Rumor #2 is that the Bears will shop Matt Forte who will be coming off a serious knee injury and who wants to be paid the way a top RB is paid.

Do you buy or sell trying to acquire Forte coming off an injury?

Rumor #3 is that the Vikings would like to trade their #1 pick to get "a player" and a couple of lower round picks. Vikes will pick ahead of the Skins and may pick 3rd.

Do you buy or sell trading with the Vikings - - meaning you give up lower picks and "a player" to get two high draft picks in 2012?

Finally, here is one thing I would really like to see come to pass for the 2012 season. The Chargers will fire Norv Turner early in January. I would LOVE to see Kyle Shanahan decide to move on to some other challenge and for the Skins to hire Norv Turner as the offensive coordinator and the play caller. Any chance Mike Shanahan has enough stroke to get his kid the open head coaching job at Penn State?

[For the record, I would not try for Jackson or Forte but would seriously try to work out a deal with the Vikings...]

If RGIII or Luck was available I trade with the Vikes, pass on #1 and #2. Norv Turner is not coming here nor does he run the WCO, he despises Snyder. Kyle is doing a good job and is going nowhere, his dad won't fire him to hire Turner, no way!!

Sell on all except moving up

Everyone wants ks gone but he's done a good job imo, I mean look at our roster on offense and name me one guy that starts at the same position on most teams... Only Trent Williams and maybe and it's a big maybe Fred Davis. Moss is a number 2 now and so is JG. Both backs are solid but unproven and then of course Kyle has the worst qb situation in the NFL

You must play a lot of Madden because most of your posts are totally off the wall Snyderish.

C'mon man! Sell!

If Penn State doesn't make a serious run at someone like, say, Tony Dungy they are way off the mark and have failed their university on every level. They sorely need a figure that knows more than just X's and O's, someone who can restore the sense of broken trust between the school and the community and the sports world at large, frankly. A person that has instant street cred and would under no circumstances allow something like what just took place to happen on his watch. Few people come to mind who can balance going about the business of winning football games and remaking the program's severely damaged image

There are many good football coaches, but few good men the caliber of Tony Dungy who understands football and the delicate situation at hand right now at Penn State. I pray the board of trustees and the new president understand this.

As far as Kyle goes, eh, I think Mike will bring him back. It's one of those, the offense showed signs life late in the season things. Trust, I'm no fan of Kyle or Mike. And with at least 6 or 7 potential head coach openings Norv Turner will land another gig somewhere else. No way in hell he would come back to DC as an assistant?

Buy on Jackson, sell on Forte, sell on trading with the Vikings, sell on Kyle going anywhere and close out sell on Norv coming back here in any capacity other than as a tourist.

Sell all the things.

Jackson is a good receiver, but not worth breaking the bank for, especially for a team that needs a lot of help on offense. He's a 2nd or 3rd tier #1 WR. He's very good, but would not consider him elite. As a receiver that relies on speed, he's not going to have a ton of longevity to his tenure.

Feel bad for Forte. Dude played great this year and due to the injury will be really hurting to get the contract he deserves, that said, we're set at RB. Last thing we need is a high priced vet with a knee injury. We have Hightower who looked good and two very promising rookies.

Depending on the player and what's available on the board -- I'd consider this. Would love to see us bring in a talented QB/WR combo. Blackmon from OKST has looked beastly. Would add a brand new dimension to our offense. That said, I really doubt this ever happens.

I do not want Norv back in DC. He's a fantastic O Coordinator. I want some continuity on this damned team. Kyle takes way too much blame for the issues the Redskins offensive woes. He has garbage talent on that side of the ball. With all things considered, I think he has done pretty well. I want to see what he can do with some genuine talent.

1. Sell. I don't see D Jax as a reliable #1 WR. He's an occasional playmaker but I can't count on him to be guy

2. Sell. Two months ago I would have said buy. Even with Hightower's injury. And even with Forte's injury. But that's because I didn't know how much of a workload Helu can handle. And he can handle more than I expected. Bears should do whatever it takes to keep him.

3. On the fence. Probably sell though.

4. Not even worth responding to

I don't care what talent Jackson has, I'm not buying him at all. Let's develop our young receivers and see what we already have. Our #1 priority is getting a franchise quarterback. We have good enough receivers to throw to already.

And there's no need for Matt Forte. During the earlier part of the season when he was healthy and our backs just weren't hitting on much, I had mentioned (maybe not on here) that the 'skins should pursue Forte in the offseason. But, since his knee injury, and the emergence of Helu and Royster, I say no to Forte. Again, let's develop our young talent and go from there.

IF we have a chance at landing someone like Andrew Luck, then I'm all for trading with Minnesota. However, I don't think that's much of a chance considering the Vikings have no chance at the first pick in the draft, and no chance at landing Andrew Luck. But maybe St. Louis does? That is the one I'd be interested in doing business with.
