Which team wanted to sign Robinson to their active roster?
Washington Examiner ran a short piece mentioning that at least one NFL team wanted to sign him off our practice squad, but did not say which team or teams had interest. Implication was that Shanahan used this circumstance as reason to release Torain and promote (protect) Robinson.

Great move. I hope Shanahan let's him play, at least in the return game.

I know it a business but that is pretty bad of a team to release the guy 4 days before the last game.
Dont you have bigger worries right now like trying to make the playoffs ? LOL

What took Shanahan so long to promote Robinson to the active roster? The kid struggled in preseason along with Hankerson and Royster. Why wait until the final game. If they were going to release Ryan Torain, they might as well done it sooner. Probably after the Patriots game at least. To allow Robinson to have one game to shine is not to evaluate him properly.
Another team was about to snag Robinson from our practice squad. So they needed to make a roster move and ATV was expendable after Royster showed he can be a back up or starting back here. ATV ODD man out.
