Every game I've been to, I've had civilized conversation with opposing fans. Thank God I haven't been to a Philly-Skins game, I would have beaten the hell out of someone.

Thank God I haven't been to a Philly-Skins game, I would have beaten the hell out of someone. redrock-skins 01-26-2005, 05:07 PM Chief Z got beat up in Philly once. He hasn't been back since. I was at the game as a kid in the Vet and saw him get beat up. He was a few sections over from where we were sitting. He got beat up in the upper deck and was thrown down the stairs. Don't know if that was the point he stopped going (that was around 1982-84). I got tackled at a concession stand during a Wild Card Game around 1990. That was Buddy Ryan's last game (he was fired that week) and the year we came back to Vet after the infamous "Body Bag" Bowl MNF game. I had no problems after the game when we won as all the energy was taken out of the stunned crowd expecting "Body Bag Bowl 2" To some fans defense, the guy who tackled me was pulled away by his friend and his friend apologized and other fans in line were saying what an asshole he was. There are bad apples in all stadiums, including our own I'm sure. though I can't vouch for FedEx, since I never have been there. Philly is a rough place to go in as the opposing fan, but it makes victory that much sweeter. I am a Sixers and Flyers fan though and you have to give us Sixers fans props for being the first to boo Kobe Bryant, including the All-Star game. We saw right through that squeaky clean image right away. The way the media treated us, you thought we booed Jesus. TheMalcolmConnection 01-26-2005, 05:17 PM I'll just say my most recent experiences at FedEx have been overwhelmingly positive. On the buses from the parking lots, people with different teams jerseys sit right next to each other and carry on decent conversation. I think I read somewhere that Washington fans were the most civilized. skin4Life28 01-26-2005, 05:37 PM Yeah we couldn't believe that it happened. Next thing we know PG county police are searching everyone taping off the crime scene it was insane. rdsknfn2003 01-26-2005, 05:49 PM AHHHHHHHHHH screw it the eagles and thier fans suck big green donkey d**ks. TheMalcolmConnection 01-26-2005, 08:39 PM The main reason I want Philly to lose the Super Bowl is because I don't think their fans deserve it or would appreciate it. It would be more to talk shit to other fans more than anything, not to personally savor it as we would. sportscurmudgeon 01-26-2005, 10:45 PM Gentlemen: Try to look at this from a different perspective. Pretend you are a fan of some team other than Washington and every time you see Washington on TV or every time you come to FedEx (or RFK in the past) to follow your team, you are treated to the adulation and the deference paid to a bunch of really fat guys who dress in drag and put pig snouts on their noses. Now, if you were to think that those guys represented ALL Redskin fans you might use the words: gay stupid dressed funny And as someone who has attended several games at The Vet and The Linc, let me warn you that it would be outrageously stupid for you to go there and make those kinds of pronouncements in the stadium loud enough to be heard. Chief Z had his leg broken in that incident in Philly. Only the goofs in "The Black Hole" in Oakland are worse! SKINSnCANES 01-26-2005, 11:45 PM theres a difference between being a fan, and being an asshole. Most people that go to the philly games are just assholes. Ive got friends that are philly fans that are really cool, but for some reason the ones that go to the vet arent. its not as bad at the new stadium, they priced out a lot of them, but its still pretty bad overall JoeRedskin 01-27-2005, 03:36 AM In the past three years, I have been to every Skins home game. Of all the visiting fans, Philly's are the absolute worst (Baltimore fans rank a competitive but clear second place). Philly has more fans who are just out and out bullies and thugs. I would not take my son to a Philly game at Fed Ex. In the section next to mine at the game this year, a bunch of them pushed a Skins fan down several rows of seats - They were escorted out. For their fans sake, I hope the Eagles are just a road bump on New England's road to a dynasty. I would love a loss of blowout proportions. TheMalcolmConnection 01-27-2005, 10:42 AM Amen to that. |
