For those of you who are not that in to college football. The senior bowl is on this Saturday @ 4PM from Mobile, Alabama on ESPN2. This is one of the big keys scouts use in drafting and scouting prospects. All week ESPN is showing Senior Bowl practices to give you an inside look. The Senior Bowl can really influence your staus in the draft, aka Phillip Rivers. So, if you want to get a hands on look at the future stars watch the Senior Bowl. Also the coaches this year are Jon Gruden of the Bucs and Norv Turner of the Raiders.

Yeah, I definitely need to get versed in the players that will hopefully be making a difference for the Skins next year.
Cool thanks for the heads up

Players to watch (in my opinion)........
WR Fred Gibson 6-1 193 Georgia......could be a nice 2nd (if we get one somehow) or maybe early 3rd assuming we wouldn't take a WR at 9
WR Roddy White 6-1 201 UAB......same as above, had a nasty senior year 1300+ yards and 13 TD's
OL Khalif Barnes 6-5 305 Washington
Both of the O-lineman from Wisconsin
OL Jeremy Parquet 6-7 324 Southern Miss...could be a nice steal in a later round, he is a monster played well in pass protection when i watched USM a few times this year
DE Marcus Spears 6-4 295 LSU....I wouldn't mind seeing us trade down and picking him up in the mid to late first
DE Matt Roth 6-3 262 Iowa....kind of undersized but looks like he could add some weight but he is amazingly fast and is always in the backfield
OLB Michael Boley 6-2 225 Southern Miss.....undersized and we don't really need a LB but he is very fast and smart...could be like Bouleware....I would cry if he lined up with ST at safety
CB Carlos Rogers 6-0 195 Auburn....played amazing this year against alot of big passing schools in the SEC, would love to see him in a redskins uniform if Smoot is gone

Here's a suggestion for you if you watch the Senior Bowl - or any of the other college all-star games.
Since the outcome does not matter at all and since you will see highlight clips of every skill player ad nauseum until the draft, don't watch the ball in these kinds of games.
Watch the linemen on the OL and the DL.
Watch the fullback as he blocks.
Watch the tight ends to see if they could block your grandmother or if they are always looking to release and get down the field.
Watch linebackers play off blocks when the ballcarrier is not coming directly at them.
You'll learn a lot more about the "big uglies" - as Keith Jackson likes to call them - that way than you ever will by reading press clippings and press releases written by Athletic Department toadies.
Whenever you get a replay, watch someone other than the person you watched during the live play.
