The Big Rumor: If The Colts Take Luck, Then Manning Could Be...

I agree with the few that are tired of the team picking up other teams trash. But.... I was one of the fans who didn't think Sanchez would pan out and he actually supprised me with how well he did with the Jets. Plus he's young still. My only concern is the Jets don't seem to be getting better each year and that could be any number of problems. Mostly probably injuries.

My concern is why can't the Skins ever pick up a young QB in the draft and develope him into a champion? I'd prefer someone who could be molded into the Skins scheme vs. having to re-train a QB and having to hear how the coaching staff has to get rid of bad habits (ie; McNabbs footwork).

When I think of P.Manning and a possible trade I cringe but again if we were to get him cheap from Indy and draft a QB who could learn under P.Manning would be awesome. I'd also expect the team to find a way to utilize his crazy play calls and crazy changing of play calls. That alone would be worth it's weight in gold. When we are ready to make a change to a younger QB, hopefully after a SB, then we could offer a coaching job to P.Manning in order to keep his skills with the team.

Cause our front office doesn't work that way. They always want the quick fix. They've gotten better lately but you know their going to go out and try and trade for someone. If it's Bradford then I'd be ok with it cause he's young and looks the part. He's an accurate passer. But if it's McCoy or Sanzhez then they've proven that they still don't have a clue.

I agree with you on the 5th round pick, however the skins and Shanahan have shown the league over and over again they will overpay to get what they want. What did Shanny give up to get Mcnabb? A second and a 4th I think.I can easily seeing them giving up a 1st rounder to get Sanchez, hopefully theyve gotten smarter and they wont but it wouldnt surprise me

How is one example "over and over"? And how often have we traded a first round pick in recent years. Plus Kolb was traded for a 2nd and a young starting DB, and hadn't accomplished anything really. Ditto similar situations for Whitehurst and Schaub. The rules are different when it comes to QB. Though it seems the less you've accomplished as an NFL QB, the more valuable you are.

I personally wouldn't be against a 3rd and conditional 2013 for Sanchez. Draft someone like Harnish or Moore late to be your long term project. Keep Rex as the veteran backup, if he stays

"According to ESPN Stats & Information, Sanchez entered the day having completed just 10 passes more than 20 yards down field and was 4-of-24 when targeting Santonio Holmes and Plaxico Burress on deep passes."

piss poor

Holmes and Burress need to take some of the responsability here, both of them have drop many a ball thrown by Sanchez,Jets are finding out why the Giants did'nt bring him back.....runs crappy routes and drops as many as he catchs

I wasnt talking just draft picks,I'm talking about throwing big money at players too to get them here. The one example is just for Shanny, but the skins under Snyder have overpaid a number of free agents. My point being the skins will overpay to get what they want whether its draft picks or money

The offenses Bradford and Sanchez are in are pretty weak from a coaching stand point. Some coaching from the Shannahan's would only improve there play.

It's been different under Allen and Shanahan. They don't sell the farm for free agents and they don't get bent over in trades like Vinny was famous for.

Report: Gruden preparing to return to coaching in 2012 | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/12/27/report-gruden-preparing-to-return-to-coaching-in-2012/)

So here's the most fascinating thing about this rumor: Gruden was incredibly critical of Sam Bradford during the Monday night game two weeks ago, so far to the point where he irritated Jaws with his criticism. He also suggested that RG3 could be a St. Louis Ram. During the broadcast.
