What's with this Redskins team? Why does it seem every time there's a football game, when the defense is on the offense is off? And when the offense is clicking the defense can't stop the opposing offense?

The defense lost this game. Kerrigan and Orakpo didn't get one paw on Tom Brady. DeAngelo Hall and the safeties couldn't contain New England's passing attack. My hats off to Josh Wilson on picking Brady in the back of the endzone.

I liked how the young offensive line played together. With the exception of the sack-fumble-TD in the endzone, they played well. Moss, Stallworth, and Gaffney resembled the Posse out there today. And Roy Helu- I can't give enough props to Helu for how well he ran the football today. He did an excellent job.

That's because we didn't have Helu establishing our running game, which in turn establishes play action. ;)

think we found our rb. helu just keeps getting better every week.

He's been able to handle much more of a load than I expected him to.

Awesome job by the oline. Helu looks more and more like he could be something real special. Riley is nasty. Probably our best offensive game this year.

Also i cant be more impressed with how the teamed played with the season over and against a non-divisional team that had already pretty much secured their division (we couldnt play spoiler to anything). Great effort. Although i think this may have been the first time NE had ever won in Washington?

Well, I expected a loss. Planned to not watch the game because I figured it would be a blow out. Got home around 1pm, started lunch, and to avoid.... putting up all the X-Mas lights and items outside I started watching the game.

To me this was the perfect game. I might be a terrible fan but as much as I'd like to see them win, and I thought they might, I'm happy we have not ruined a draft position. So for me this game was a win/win. Game was kept close, showed we could have won the game against an elite team, showed our backups can step up, and played flawless up until the end. I was happy and still am.

I think Mo Hurt and Willie Smith have acquitted themselves well thus far and will probably earn a roster spot next year. For what we're paying and gave up for Brown, he's been a disappointment.

One thing I'm starting to come to terms with is that Rex will be on this roster next season one way or another. No matter the scenario, I don't see how the Redskins part ways with him just yet. We'll see.

Perry Riley has been as much a surprise on defense, for me at least, as much as Helu has been on offense. He's always around the ball and it's growing into a punishing tackler.

London Fletcher will still be playing by the time my daughter graduates from college.

Jabar Gaffney. Liking this guy more and more each week. I could see him and Hank opposite each other next season.

Evan Royster. Wasn't a stud yesterday, but do you get the feeling he ain't going back to the practice squad?

Tyler Polumbus.

Absolutely correct! Smith and Hurt played well yesterday; Polumbus played better than they did...
