rypper11 12-11-2011, 08:13 PM The whole team, really. I know I've said this before but when Rex is in the whole team just seems to fight harder. Big prop to Wilson for his pick and the play calling on offense. I expected the typical three and outs with deep bombs the first time we got down.
Paintrain 12-11-2011, 09:58 PM Kyle, great game called today. It's amazing how when the OL provides decent blocking and Rex plays like an NFL QB you seem to be a better coach. Reality is that Kyle is a damn good coordinator and when we have the talent at the right positions we will see days like today a little more often.
Mike, for the 2011 draft class. We saw a glimpse of what's possible from this class once they mature. Kerrigan didn't have his best game but we've seen plenty from him to know what we have. Jenkins and Hankerson showed flashes in limited action. Helu & Royster have shown well. Gomes, Paul, Hurt and Neild have all played well in their roles and above draft slot. Smith played decently and we can get to see what he's got over the next 3 weeks.

That's exactly right. Willie Smith just might be our future RT, I like him a lot, Hurt is getting better too, although he struggled today.

Except early on, and that cost us 7 points.
skinsfaninok 12-11-2011, 10:08 PM Yeah don't forget Rex s TD he gave away.
Skins have had 7 QBs start since 2004 ouch and that's y we suck
diehard 12-11-2011, 10:14 PM Oh and whatever coach it is, maybe it's Foerster (I don't know) that's been working with guys like Smith and Hurt during the season
Way to go Smoot! You're spot on. Same for Josh Wilson. Was this his first INT this season?

I have a theory that we're still recovering from the Spurrier years. Danny Woeful, Shane Matthews and Sage Rosenfels. The Holy Trinity of suck

Honestly, Hurt and Smith are no better long term than backups probably but that's fine. That is what we've sorely lacked for years, young, quality depth. Hurt hasn't embarrassed himself since he's been in the lineup. He's played like a rookie late round pick. Same can be expected of Smith. If he shows well over the next 3 games, we can go into 2012 comfortable with young depth on the OL which we haven't had forever.

Put it this way, Smith is already better than Locklear and I bet he's also better than Brown. I don't see Brown or Locklear here next year, as for Smith I've been following him since training camp and he seems to be a solid sleeper FA pickup.
skinsfan69 12-11-2011, 11:22 PM Everyone on offense played very well but lets also remember that NE has one of the worst defenses I think I've seen in a while. They're just horrible on that side of the ball.
