I agree and for the record I wanted to draft Sanchez don't get me wrong I'd take him over Rex all day I just don't think he's much better than JC

Just curious, who would you take? Manning, Brees, Brady, etc. don't count.

Are they not QBs in the league? Why wouldn't they count?

I'm comparing him to second tier or young QB's, not solid experienced stars. People have been ripping Sanchez, I think he's doing a good job.

I understand and partially agree with what you're saying but this hasn't been the case lately. If Tim Tebow never would of won the Heisman ESPN and everyone else wouldn't have sensationalized him to the degree that they did. The same can be said for Matt Leinert. No way would he would of been a top 10 pick if he didn't win the Heisman. Now that the media has gone into hype overdrive Robert Griffin will be the most talked about pick next to Luck, infact this whole draft season will be comparing the 2 non-stop and everyone will give their opinions as to who should draft who and why. It's going to be the lead in story for months to come just you wait.

I'd say Tebow was a first round pick because he made Josh McDaniels fall in love with his intangibles and work ethic. Keep in mind Tebow was a college God before he won the Heisman. The ceremony was just a formality.

Matt Leinart on the other hand got picked in the first because he played extremely well in a pro style offense and was a major part in USC winning many big games (which is what got him the Heisman). On top of that Carson Palmer was coming off a pro bowl season, which to some scouts meant that SC's offense prepared QB's for the NFL. Obviously hind sight is 20-20 but on draft day few saw the captain check down party boy surrounded by blue chip talent.

Some SC folks I know aren't convinced that Barkley is coming out this year, in fact he might be leaning towards staying. Also LT Matt Kalil staying for another year could make Barkley think twice about leaving.

That said..

If it's between Luck and RG3, I would be shocked if the Colts didn't take Luck with that the number one pick. The Colts are a QB ready system that compliments Luck's skill set and there's no way in hell he unseats Peyton Manning as the starter.

I don't think winning the Heisman caused RG3's stock to rise, but his speech and how he comported himself with class and humility on the national stage probably did, however. I'd be happy with either.

just look at RGIII background and any team would be sold on him!

From what I understand Kalil staying all but confirms that Barkley will stay at SC. Which means next years class will be better.
