Aren't the Vikings in the process of being sold? What if the incoming owner wants to keep Moss?
Latest Moss RumorSmootSmack 02-07-2005, 01:08 PM Aren't the Vikings in the process of being sold? What if the incoming owner wants to keep Moss? Daseal 02-07-2005, 01:14 PM Redrock - if football didn't have a salary cap, like baseball, we'd have everyone on our team. Moss's contract is only like 7M this year, which isn't too bad. I really think the Ravens (as much as I hate that) have the best shot at getting him. They have an abundance of defensive players, and a high enough draftpick to get a decent receiver in the draft. redrock-skins 02-07-2005, 04:11 PM True about the salary cap, but the Eagles cap situation is good and with some creativity, probably could get him if they wanted to. While I raise the thought about Moss to Philly, I do not believe it will happen, but I never rule anything out. Daseal 02-07-2005, 08:01 PM I think Philly, an already successfull team, would have to sacrifice too much to get Moss. They'd probably need at least 1st and 2nd sent to MN, maybe even more, plus a player or two. sportscurmudgeon 02-08-2005, 05:55 PM One Baltimore radio station says that the Vikes want Chris McAlister plus a first round pick this year and a second round pick next year from the Ravens for Moss. Obviously, I don't know if that is correct or not but IF IT IS, that is much too high a price to pay for a guy who admits that he "dogs it" on the field at times. monk81 02-08-2005, 10:43 PM Moss playing for Norv Turner equals one thing...100% disaster in every way. Norv is about the nicest guy I have ever met(I coached baseball in his son's baseball league 5 or 6 years ago and he was a great guy and did a lot for the league when he didn't have to. He also came to all of his kids games) but he couldn't even manage a team with the likes of Darrell Green and Brian Mitchell. We're talkign about a team full of consumate professionals and all we ever heard about was how nobdy respected him and how he had lost control. Now they're going to trade for Moss....Jeez Al Davis is stupid...no wonder they haven't done s*&% in years. I agree.....I heard Norv couldn't control the players in the meetings, cell phones going off, jewelry and real estate salesman giving the speals....and Norv trying to have a meeting........I Moss needs a disciplinarian.that would challenge him and make him play to his abilities on each and every play......like Bill Parcells............... |
